I think the Jills fans thought we would lose at least 2 of 3 to the Brewers if not get swept.

They don't realize we helped them get closer to the Wildcard.

Dear God Almighty....for everything that is right and good in this world, make sure that the Phillies beat the Mets on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We need a sweep and we know you are a Phillies' fan. :praying:

Ohhhh, and we also need a Dolphin's win over that other NY team on Sunday as well.
    :bless:

Not my fault they arent that smart. thats not trash talk, I have proof below. This is not for the sensitive minded  :

This is the facebook group I found:

"searh this on facebook: Phillies Fans take over Shea Stadium

for those who dont have facebook, heres what the group says:

Are you sick and tired of stupid Mets fans taking over Citizen's Bank Park? Well its time to return the favor! On Saturday September 6th Philadelphia will be taking over Shea Stadium. Right now we are in the process of talking to sales reps at Shea Stadium to get group tickets available. As soon as they are available we will post a log-in id and password so you can order your tickets! This game will be a FOX SATURDAY BASEBALL GAME which means its on NATIONAL TV!!!! I want as many Phillies fans there as humanly possible! Lets send Shea Stadium out with a bang!

    More info to come......

Invite as many people as you can!

Alright, since we're about to finally order our tickets, this group WILL GO PRIVATE within the week. When it does, the log in and password will be posted on here directly. EVERYONE NEEDS TO GET THEIR TICKETS ASAP, we've already sold out 1 section, 2 more to go!

Invite the last of your friends to join asap!

EVENT IS NOW CLOSED to more people joining.

If you missed Scott's e-mail, go to mets.com, click tickets, then group tickets, then group ticket window. The Log In name is PHILLY (all caps), password is METS, all caps.

If you want a bus ride up and some good times, hit up phillytailgate.com, they had 30 tickets left as of this morning (8/27) for $99(i think)."

So basically they plan on taking over 1-3 sections of a 150+ section stadium. Freakin idiots. :pointlol:

Well Ill follow through on the Dolphins thing, but I just wiped my butt with the piece of paper you faxed your Phillies request on. That was funny. While the Mets traded my son, Jesus (you know him as Scott Kazmir), I put him there because Im really a Mets fan. I knew you'd understand.

    Your pal,

The Phillies-Mets start a three game series that could very well decide the NL East. Could be some rain and bad weather affecting this series. Sunday night's game is supposed to be on ESPN!!! Hopefully there won't be a need for a doubleheader as the Met's bullpen is wiped out. :shifty:

I think it is time to get out the BROOMS Philly fans!!!

Myers is going tonight and he has been pitching like crazy. :tongue2:

I don't like day-night doubleheaders. Why the heck don't they just reschedule today's missed game for Sept. 29, the day after the season ends, if needed?.....it makes the Phillies play two games on Sunday and then play on Monday, while the Mets have Monday off....what's fair about that?

The Phins and Phillies better not ruin my Sunday.

Sweeping a doubleheader is harder to do for the Mets than to win today if they played and tomorrow night. Beating a good team twice in one day is a very tough task.

Because the Mets and/or the Phillies might have to play a play in game that day to get into the playoffs ala the Rockies/Padres last year.

I didn't get to see the Phillies game as I was watching the Phins at a sport's bar. The Dolphins' game then went off the air just as Favre threw a 55+ yard TD in the first half. Luckily the game came back on. I ended up having to watch it with a couple of Jet's fans. :pity: The Jet's fans got really worried and were cussing at the screen the last couple minutes. We shoulda won it. Ahhh well.....on to the Cardinals next week.

Wagner had a setback and is probably done for the year. He's going to see a doctor tomorrow.

So sorry Boik, your day just got worse.

Actually that might have been the highlight of the day lol. Some days I feel like Wagner doesnt even matter...this team is what it is. And everytime they take a bad loss they just seem to get ticked off and play better.

We seem to play better against the good teams, and get too laid back and lose to crappy teams that we should beat like the Pissburghs and Washingtons of the league. I don't think we are going to go anywhere if Jimmy Rollins doesn't start playing better. Charlie Manuel keeps tinkering with the lineup and he does stuff which makes you wonder why he is managing a major league team. I just hope Pat Gillick (the GM) retires, and hopefully Manuel will be sent packing soon. He is ruining any chances this team has. I think we also have a shot at catching the Brewers if we could sweep them, but we don't want a stinking WC to get into the playoffs, we want the NL East title like last year. Good luck Boik !!!

Gillick has said he doesnt intend to GM past his contract. Im not impressed by him or the players on the roster. Never have been. Its a top heavy team with too many of the same types of players. I would say best of luck but I really really want the phillies to lose  :wink2:

The Nationals are going to be the key......they always seem to play a lot better when they can ruin some teams playoff chances.

Wags is heading for TJ surgery: Billy Wagner will have Tommy John surgery on his elbow and likely miss much of next season, the Newark Star-Ledger reports.

The good news is this should prevent an additional ulcer. The bad news is we still have Heilman and Blowenweis.

Sign Dan Wheeler, not K Rod. You dont pay 50 million for a guy who is a good, not great closer. hes not even a top 3 closer in the AL. that would be rivera papelbon and Nathan. So Omar, if youre reading this...dont do it!:wink2:

Bad Ollie tonight. Bad Figueroa today as well. up 5-2 entering the 4th they allowed a 5 run 4th. Ugh. Ollies era went from 3.86 to 4.15 before figueroa allowed the last 2 inherited runners to score so its got to be around 4.25ish.

2nd and 3rd now for nym...man it would be nice if church would launch his 2nd hr of the game. LETS GO METS!

and another bases loaded pop out.

1 thing I cannot stand is when a team gets the pitcher the lead and he gives it up the next inning. Ollie did that twice tonight, but luckily the bats are alive. Delgado mashed that 2-run shot. With the Phils down 10-4 right now we need to get this win....

Tough to vote him over wright who has been more consistent but i wouldnt mind. I think he'll get a few. But Pujols doing what hes doing with a bum elbow that needs TJ surgery and hitting 360 is kinda ridiculous. :shifty:

Nahhhhh.....once again Charlie Manuel lets Kendrick get hammered around, and then after it is 10-1 then they start to play. :tantrum: Out of the 5 starting Philly pitchers, 3 are doing pretty well, and Kendrick and Blanton suck.

Weird night....both teams involved in 10-8 games. At least the Brewers got beat so if we can sweep them we could sneak in the back door. The Phillies are running out of games and just not getting it done.

Big props for Delgado...he has been very clutch. I still think Pujols is the MVP....Delgado or Wright probably 2nd??? Reyes might get some votes as well.

Delgado has to be the MVP if we win the division. He carried this team in the second half. Wright has been awful the last month and a half and Reyes has been good, but Delgado is playing in a Ruthian state right now.

Those shots last night were blasts!!!!

I think it will be tough for Delgado to win, because most the voters don't watch the games, they just look at stats, but if anyone watches the Mets, there is noway you can't vote for him, what a turn around he has had.

im not saying delgado is gonna win the mvp (probably pujlos:pity:), but i think delgado will get some of the votes. at the start of the season i was predicting that david wright would win it... too bad thats not gonna happen (cant complain about his season all in all though).

I think Pujol's is averaging almost 100 points better than Delgado at around .360.....and he has around the same number of homers and RBI's. Unless he really falls apart I don't see anyone else getting the MVP.

Pujols even doing well has the Cards out od it.

Delgado is caring a Mets team on his back to the playoffs.

GO Marlins 7-3 win over the Phils!

Yeah but how impressive is it that Pujols has fewer rbis and homers then Delgado when Delgado's done it in basically 3 months less since he did crap the first 3 months. :tongue2:
