Concussions, and those don't get better with time and more hits. He's a very good pass rusher, but high injury risk. Would have gone Paye if it was me. Paye is more well rounded and less injury prone.

Am I getting the stories muddled somewhere or was the concussions stemming from a moped accident rather than on field stuff.

Not untrue, but concussions are scary, different story from the kinds of guys who just tweak ankles, quads, etc.

I'm good with the pick though. Heard someone (CK maybe) say they thought Grier might view having a second first rounder as house money and take a bit of a gamble with big upside. Paye may have been safer, but Phillips is the better rusher and higher ceiling.

GMen take Toney, that makes Philly's move look pretty shrewd.

The moped thing resulted in a wrist injury iirc.

A bit like the Waddle pick being the most to maximise Tua, that Toney pick is going all in to try and maximise Daniel Jones. The last throw of the dice for him?

“There is a significant wrist injury as well, which is likely permanent. After a moped accident, Phillips was reported to have undergone a proximal row carpectomy to remove multiple bones in his wrist, leaving it weaker.”

If anyone wants a read on Phillips injuries... from a former team doctor/medical evaluator who predicted he would fall.

But keep in mind he did have a huge year and put up 26 bench reps with that same wrist.

From what I read he did not get along with Chip Kelly (how unusual) at UCLA leading to the retirement before transferring to Miami. I'm excited he's a Dolphin.

@ 36 looking like OT may be the positional darling

I will never understand why we traded essentially the ability to take Pitts or chase for a 3rd rounder next year and a 1st in 2023.

Completely disapprove of the job Grier is doing.

I suppose those still holding out hope that we trade up for Harris need us to move up to here considering the rumours of the Steelers and Jets.

Edit: The Jets of course traded away, I'll blame it on the time currently being 4am.

The further back the draft gets the better chance 1 of Harris, Etienne, or Williams are available at 36!

As long as 2 years from now we can answer yes to "are combination of waddle, 3rd round pick and 1st round pick collectively better than Pitts or chase" its all gravy

Does anyone else think that the Vikings would've gone Darrisaw even if they hadn't traded back?

Don't get how you ignore the OL for a running back if you're the Steelers.

Etienne goes to the Jags. Now I think the Fins move for Javonte.

I don’t understand why you’d think that. I think they were fully aware pitts would likely be gone if they traded down and as much as Cincy needed Sewell it was a safe bet to think Cincy would reunite burrow and chase.

I’m I don’t see this as Miami overthinking it and making a mistake.

Two of the big 3 RBs down.

Man, I really was hoping not to whiff on the position again. Gaskin and Brown aren't a solution.

I think the only team that could take him would be NYJ. Everyone else between now and the next Fins pick already has a solid RB.
