    What was his conclusion?

A lot of the links you've dropped recently have seemed interesting, but I usually don't have the time to listen to a 30-60 minute podcast (much less several of them). It would be great if you could tie in some talking points on these types of threads to get the discussions started.

I'll see if I can add some soon.

I've started listening to more podcasts via Spotify on my phone when on a commute or having to walk between close jobs etc. Been enjoying it. Getting a lot out of them.

It opens with a summary of takes we've already heard from Flores, Fitzpatrick and others. Then he spends some time talking about his views on evaluating QB's and goes over some of his takes and previous work to build a case for why he believes his method has value. He highlights what he believes are the more significant indicators for QB success.

    1. Being a QB is never a one man deal. Only true picture comes from watching tape and getting context. Box scores etc. alone don't give you the picture, you have to put in the time and work to evaluate.
    2. The feet. "It all starts with the feet". Feet have to move with the eyes. Fundamental. If your feet aren't moving with your mind and eyes, with consistency, you won't be able to react and throw consistency.
    3. Multiple throws in the tool bag. Velocity, touch, timing.
    4. QB's processing and timing of the play's evolution. Recognise teammate' patterns and pace and path, but account for leverage of defense. Anticipation, leverage, understand coverage, know how play concept interacts with defense.

There are more but those are the key components.

How does Tua fit with those? (Starts at 11:44 in.)

    Reverse order.
    4. Anticipation - Gives example of game against Chiefs. Tua able to manipulate defense and create a throwing lane. Number 2 trait kicks in to move D, and can then throw into the hole. Travis then gives another example, easier to listen to these, harder to transcript (See time stamp above.) Timing, rhythm, accuracy. So impressed with one play. "Winning from the pocket. Expediting the process of the footwork to account for the bang-bang nature of the play. Just so precise and nuanced even on a little throw that seems routine to the casual observer."

(Another example of this given from Chargers game. 4th Q. 14:10 left to play.)

    3. Manipulation of the ball with spin, velocity and touch...
Gives example of a throw to help people visualise what touch means.
Examples of throws with accuracy, arcing deep balls, "...most accurate down field thrower in CFB history...", against pressure, anticipation of a veteran.

2 - Mentioned as part of previous discussions.

    (Now 15:55 in)
1 - Blame/credit in evaluation. Chiefs game. Tua playing well but stats not reflect that at one point. 9 for 14 with 82 yds and only one TD. Incredible play, but erased on a drop. Travis describes it in detail. Perfect ball, drop, out comes punt team.
Then gives another example, Parker drop. 30 yds of completions, two more completions. Another touchdown. Stats all change.

Then he gives his college evaluation of Tua (17:27 in).

Back to NFL examples (18:44 in).

Discusses reading plays, leverages, good process even if results don't always show up in the end view.

Main knock on him - needs to be more aggressive.
Also consider attempting to complement the game plan.

Some stats: 22:09 - giving some comparisons with other great players, even some of the 'bad stats', to consider perspective.

    "Efficient and explosive."

Alabama was loaded. Yes. "What's new?" "Since when is it against the rules to build a team around your QB?" "What does every QB that is elite in this league have?" Considers various QB's and their great receiving talent. So it's not an indictment of a QB to need to add talent, but "just smart business. Invest in your investment."

The he starts to wrap up and move on to other things. He's a believer in Tua. See it in Tua's tape. "Haven't been this excited about a Dolphins quarterback for a long, long time."
