That's what my eyes see. You want me to lie and say I think he looks good because that makes you happy?
The only thing that people cannot fault him on is effort. Effort does go a long way to make talent happen.
I have thought the same thing. My guess is it's a comfort thing. Reports about his attitude in college and from some Miami players were that he's a very competitive guy who wants to win. Not happy with losing. Will do whatever it takes to correct mistakes and win. That's my biggest hope for him for this year. To see if that vaunted ability to learn, adapt and overcome is real.
I like the look of Wilson being out there working. Tells me he misses the game and wants to get out and perform well. And, you can't say enough about Tua. Working hard, getting stronger.
Very few people could handle a warrior at the dining room table if the conduct was the same as when the warrior was afield.
From PFT: Cornerback Byron Jones said on NFL Network that the expectation around the team is that it will be a major leap forward. “It’s exciting. This team is comprised of a bunch of young guys,” Jones said. “Obviously, he’s going into his second year. What we saw last year was great from him but we expect a big jump. The kid’s been working, I know he’s been working. He’s been a great kid. Really good head on his shoulders. And that’s the beauty of it. We’re surrounded by a bunch of good guys who want to be great again. So I’m looking forward to seeing his jump. His contributions to the team have been great so far, but we’re looking for even something better this year. It’s exciting. I can’t wait to see him work his magic.” The expected return of in-person offseason work and a year of NFL experience should benefit Tagovailoa’s bid for progress in his second season. If it doesn’t, the Dolphins have a pair of first-round picks in each of the next two seasons that could be used as capital to find someone else.
These videos are awesome. Going to be so much more prepared with a full off season program. Tua is coming into this season in much better position to thrive and succeed. I don’t think anyone can argue with that.
This dude is living his life. God bless him. Whether you think he's the franchise or not, if you don't love Tua, we probably can't be friends.
Lynn Bowden training with perform also. ...and Ahmed as well, apparently: ...and Parker, maybe? Unless he was just along for some throw and catch:
Via Barry Jackson: "...[Tua's] on a “mission” this offseason to improve. That’s according to Nick Hicks, his South Florida-based trainer. Appearing on the Miami on the Rockets podcast, Hicks said: “Tua is an amazing person. I’ve never met anybody like him. He’s an insanely hard worker. He’s all gas, no brakes." "“I show up at his house super early; we put in work. Little break, then he leaves me at the field and he works some more. Then he goes home and watches film. He’s on a mission. He’s different.”" "Asked specifically what he and Tagovailoa are doing, Hicks said: “I’m not allowed to talk too much about Tua, because we had a specific ideology of what this offseason is going to be. There was so much doubt... We’re trying to keep things under wraps.” But Hicks noted strength and confidence are areas among the keys for his success." Truly hopeful that Tagovailoa is able to perform at the level the Dolphins expect(ed) him to but if he doesn’t, it surely isn’t due to a lack of effort. This kid is working his asstocks off!
I wish he wouldn't have said this stuff...... From PFT Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had an up and down rookie year after the Dolphins selected him at No. 5 overall. He was coming off a hip injury that ended his collegiate career and didn’t have the benefit of an offseason program due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tagovailoa still compiled a 6-3 record as a starter, but he was benched for his ineffective play in favor of Ryan Fitzpatrick in two of those games. Tagovailoa has said he’s more comfortable heading into Year Two. But he admitted one of his issues in 2020 was his knowledge of the scheme — or lack thereof. “I wasn’t comfortable calling plays,” Tagovailoa said Wednesday, via Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald. “I think the guys that were here last year were phenomenal. I just didn’t have the comfortability of checking plays, alerting plays and doing that. I just rode with the play, even if I knew it wasn’t going to work. I was going to try to make it work still. “I didn’t actually know the playbook necessarily really, really good and that’s no one else fault but my fault. Our play calls were simple when I was in. I didn’t have alerts and checks. Where now, I feel comfortable and I can maneuver my way through these things now.” That Tagovailoa feels more comfortable heading into Year Two is good news for the Dolphins, who made him a top-five pick. While he may not have looked as good as other top 10 picks Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert as a rookie, Tagovailoa still has plenty of time to develop into a franchise quarterback.
Behind the scenes with Tua during a Muscle Milk commercial shoot. It gives you a little flavor of his personality.
Really rooting for this kid. People from Hawaii are awesome people. Very humbled, caring, most importantly they work hard. If he can manage to stay healthy he will be a star, something we did not see in TN with Mariota. After he kept getting injured he lost his game. But when he was on, the guy was amazing to watch. Heres to hoping Tua can make people in Hawaii proud.
Fansided has Tua ranked as 28th best Qb.We need that to improve to at least top 15 at season end to have any shot at playoffs
Super Bowl winning QB Trent Dilfer on Tua Tagovailoa: 'The best I've ever seen' “I think Tua’s a generational talent".
