Doesn't matter who it is.Your exact words to Galant was you are the only person in the world that thinks we should draft a Qb at number 3. Correct?
Thanks for the support @pumpdogs but Rasputin here won't back down from a position. Even his recent reply to you he said you posted a Colin Cowherd story. It's not. It's a Sports Illustrated story by writer Alain Poupart which references the Cowherd piece and then goes on to discuss the general idea of taking a QB at 3. So it's clearly another person considering the idea and suggesting it can make sense. @TheHighExhaulted isn't going to see or admit that though.
Again, the end of the article mentions that IF, IF, IF, IF, IF, IF the Miami Dolphins front office has any doubts about Tua they should consider drafting a quarterback. And, there is absolutely no evidence of that. It's all just nonsense. pumpdogs, Colin Cowherd gets paid by getting people like you to post his nonsense all over the internet. He says things just to say it and cause a discussion, no matter how outlandish it may be. It's called "clickbait".
You simply cannot engage with points in a discussion, can you? I pointed out that the article isn't Cowherd's and you ignored it. And I've addressed the nature of the theoretical discussion and you refuse to reply but instead parrot on with the same repetitive nonsense. For someone who posts so aggressively and dismissively towards other people's posts you should maybe take a step back and reflect a bit.
All I have been trying to point out is that there is a huge difference between someone saying: 1. "Yes, the Miami Dolphins should definitely draft a quarterback at the #3 pick. And, 2. "If the Miami Dolphins organization has any doubts about Tua Tagavailoa, they should consider drafting a quarterback at the #3 pick." One is a declarative statement, the other is conjecture. I read the article, it refers to Cowherd bit 90% of it. In the end, the author makes no declarative statement if the Dolphins should draft a quarterback. Only conjecture.
No there isn't a huge difference - a point you have made but never tried to explain - and it's not what you were saying originally. Your reply/insult to me stating my preference of the Dolphins taking Lawrence or Wilson if available was: "You're the only person in the world who thinks Miami should consider drafting a quarterback at #3." Literalism aside, there clearly are people who are advocating that the Dolphins should consider it. Consideration, by definition, involves weighing different options, possibilities and scenarios - in other words - "if" questions. Even you, in saying this, knew that the Dolphins' decision itself, and by extension this whole thread and the various takes and suggestions offered by pundits and others, is a matter of consideration. There's just no way to construe your statement as saying that 'no one is saying that the Dolphins should take a QB at 3 no matter what' - and even if we did, there are some people saying that. So repeating that over and over is senseless. Some people do think that the Dolphins should take a QB at 3. I think that the Dolphins should take Lawrence or Wilson at 3 if available. I will understand if/when they don't do that. That's all there is to this.
There was only 3 total votes here to move to 10-15, so it definitely wasn't the "expected" move by most. Was a fun community exercise for a few days though anyway.
I also support drafting another QB at #3 IF the right one is there. Oh, uh, wait a minute... Never mind.
