Giants signed WR Kenny Golladay, formerly of the Lions, to a four-year, $72 million contract.

Golladay survived 24 hours worth of Joe Judge's wind sprints during his visit with the Giants before getting the long-term contract and guaranteed money ($40 million) he was aiming for. The 27-year-old is a legit No. 1 receiver, something New York has lacked since trading away Odell Beckham. There's now no excuses for Daniel Jones in 2021, as his skill group includes Golladay, Saquon Barkley, Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton, Evan Engram, and Kyle Rudolph. As for Golladay's fantasy value, this signing hurts. There are mouths to feed, and Jones is 37th out of 41 qualifiers in passing EPA per dropback since entering the league. Consider Golladay more of a WR2/3 than WR1/2.

Really wanted Galladay but he must have been more than we were willing to spend. I’m ok with letting someone else overpay. Draft at least one WR and we should be sitting good.

100%, Giants are out of their minds to pay that, especially this year. He was reportedly getting a bunch of cheap one year "prove it" deals and nothing else. Giants outbid themselves for a dude who sounds like he quit on his team, milked his injury and may or may not really be a 1.

I remember back 2 seasons ago, Grant & Wilson led the league in time to separation and total separation. Not saying they could be that in 2021 and neither have a big catch radius, but if that's what we're looking for then we could do a lot worse.

If Grant had hands instead of frying pans he could be Tyreekesque, really interested what Wilson has left in his tank, liked what I saw from him untill he got injured.

Im not even sure he was better than Marvin Jones on the Lions... it’s time to put the Giants in the same category as the Jets... they make headscratching coaching hires and free agent signings...

get me Jamarr Chase here... i wish we drafted Jeudy last year, not sure why he wasnt the first receiver picked last year but the Raiders as usual went with speed... Jeudy is in the Julio/Megatron mold... i think Chase may be in that mold too

    Glad they didn't overspend.

Thinking Ja'Marr Chase or DeVonta Smith is a real possibility at #3, assuming they stay at pick #3.

Jeudy is shorter, and I'm not sure he's got the same speed either. I do think he will be good though, he was starting to come on later in the year though had some issues with drops. Calvin and Julio .... probably the most physically gifted dudes that we've seen, absolute freak athletes. I don't think anyone really can measure up to them.

If we can trade back into the latter part of the top 10, Chase and Pitts become the main targets. I'm still loathe to take a WR/TE at #3 overall.

I thought Jones would have been a nice pickup, though I guess we went with Fuller and are retaining Wilson. Will see what the draft brings.

I think the best trade we could make is with the Falcons. It makes so much sense, and I think we could squeeze them for more than you think for them to move up one spot.

I think if we could pick up a second or more (which I really think we could get since we know ATL is looking for a QB), we should draft Pitts. I am anti-drafting a TE this early, but he is a generational talent. I legitimately think it would be like getting Kelce. I also think of all the players in the entire draft, Pitts would help Tua's development the most.

I would use the extra draft picks to try and upgrade that 18th pick in order to select Chase or Smith.

Finally, I would be trying to jump back into the first round with the Texans' 2nd round pick to grab Harris.

I know that this sounds like Kevin Costner's Draft Day and seemingly crazy, but I really do not think it is really that complicated.

If our entire draft essentially was Pitts, Smith/Chase, and Harris, I think we have built the nucleus of our team for years to come.

If the Falcons want a QB then wee make a lot of sense, definitely. I wonder if we could pry more out of Carolina or Denver though. Or even San Fran.

Its interesting that you mention Kelce, who was not a first rounder. Nor was Kittle, nor Waller nor Gronk. Pitts is a talent, but drafting a TE that early goes against all conventional draft rules. Just how foundational a piece is a tight end? Man, I just don't know.

Otherwise I wouldn't hate your plan, but I'm not sure Harris lasts till late round 1.

I definitely think we could get more out of Carolina for sure - Denver and San Fran quite likely. I think that because there is so much value in this pick, ATL could seriously wind up paying more than a lot of people may realize. That being said, I think I would be willing to take less (not crazy less) to deal with ATL. This deal makes so much sense because we still wind up getting our guy.

Okay, I totally get what you are saying about TE. If you would have told me a year ago that we would have the 3rd pick, and I would be telling you to take a TE, I woulda laughed. I think that where we are differing is that you are looking at the player. I am looking at the player within the offense. Tua's number one guy was Gesicki. A fast, big guy that is a mismatch. You wanna put a LB on him, they can't keep up. Wanna put a CB on him, just toss it up high. Pitts is a better version Gesicki. I have often thought of Gesicki as a glorified WR. Think about this as our base package. Parker, Pitts, Gesicki, Fuller. Wanna double cover Pitts with your best LB or bigger CB? Fine, let's send Fuller deep. BTW - Who is covering Gesicki now? Now, we got two favorable matchups.
