So did we not even attempt to get him???
Seems like Miami would be a much better opportunity (young QB, lots of draft picks) vs Detroit who is always in shambles.

I hope there is a plan since we seem to be hiring Offensive assistants without an OC. One would think that an OC would have a say in the hiring of assistants - especially a QB coach.

I'm a little bit skeptical of him, I'm not sure he's a great OC candidate- for the Lions or the Dolphins.

He isn't an experienced playcaller- he's got one season taking over using Greg Roman's playbook after he was fired. If he's got an offense put together, we've never seen it- he was hands off and let Whisenhunt and uhh the other guy run the offense when he was a head coach. O don't think serving as a HC should earn him a bunch of currency for an OC job.

I don't think experience is a pre-requisite, but the bulk of his direct coaching of the offense has come as a runningbacks coach when the pathway to an offensive coordinator is generally as a QB coach. The exceptions are pretty much always guys who basically got to have an internship under an offensive head coach who is going to direct the whole deal to some extent and give the guy an apprenticeship of sorts.

By all reports Brian Flores has a lot of respect for Anthony Lynn and his leadership skills, but I don't think he fits as a guy you're going to hand the offense over to.
