. . . I'll refuse to watch the Super Bowl.

I would expect my other Phins fans would concur.

As long suffering Phins fans we could always root for the NFC team every year the Pats made the Super Bowl, but with the prospect of another AFC East Team emerging as contenders to potentially play the geriatric Bucs with Tom Brady is just too troublesome for me to even fein interest.

I doubt this will happen as the Packers and Chefs should be healthy favorites. But then another painful element enters the fray as one CHAD HENNE!!!! could be the only thing keeping the Bills out of the Super Bowl.

It's just too much, at this point. :001_rolleyes:

LMAO, I'm rooting for Henne bigtime if he's the starter...I doubt Mahommes will be down for three weeks though. But if the Bills do win, then I'm rooting for them to go all the way. What a storyline- last season, Matt Moore has to carry KC in some critical games. Now it's Henne's turn...I absolutely love that! Go KC!

In the NFC, I root for every team that doesn't have someone named Brady. But I've never liked Rodgers either since I think he's a world-class jerk in real life. So it's the Bills or Chiefs for me no matter what.

I am rooting for the Bucs and for Tom Brady. He's not a Pat anymore and him winning makes Belichik look bad. And I've always hated Belichik.

Packers Chiefs. I refuse to believe any other Super Bowl is possible.

And I'd be happy to see either side win but my heart leans towards the Packers.

@Arodgers12 You have to be enjoying this season, right?

Why hate on the Bills? They've been in the cellar like us. I hope the AFC turns into a powerhouse.

Oh wow, it's played in Tampa?!? No team has even had home-field advantage so that's a massive deal. Now I hope the Bucs make it to the big show and get blown out, LOL!

The Pack is kind of my "second team" - handy that they are in the NFC to boot. I spent a few years in GB as a kid, went to a few games at Lambeau, lots of family are still Packer fans, so it's a fun rooting interest.

Will be super disappointed if they lose, but actually I do kind of find it cathartic to watch Brady succeed while Belichick stews on his couch. If its Tampa v Buffalo, I'm rooting Tampa all the way. Nice to see BB's ego kind of take a hit, I always found him to be the most repugnant of the Patriot dynasty, from all the cheating shenanigans to his whole demeanor. Screw that dude.

I hate the rest of the AFC East teams too much to ever root for them. I would probably rank my rooting interest this way:

    Chiefs
    Either NFC team

    Bills

Have gone to a couple of games at Lambou Field. Great fans. Really nice and a high school atmosphere - what the NFL used to be like. If I have to root for someone, I'm rooting for them.

You could always say Brady wasn't the GOAT because he played in Belicheats system. If he wins his 7th with the "geriatric" team he's on now, there'll be no doubt he's the GOAT.

I'm pretty sure. My work has to do with sports merch and the leagues and the main office of our customer that has the licenses is in Tampa so I seem to recall the game us in Tampa this year due to association. I think. Now I'm doubting myself! Lol

Yeah that's going to be an unavoidable conclusion if that happens. Brady's not the most efficient ever (that's Young followed by Montana), nor has he added the most wins to a team (that's Brees followed by Manning), nor is he the best in the playoffs (that's Montana), all calculated using ratings adjusted to a common year.

But at some point there's just no denying the accomplishments, and IF he wins it this year that would probably be the narrative from here on out. This is precisely why I'm rooting for Rodgers to win it lol.

Still.. Brady is impressive. He ended above average this year, though well short of what he used to average. And as others have pointed out he really helped make Belichick look bad. It was so often thought Brady succeeded only because of Belichick but it's looking like at worst it was more 50/50ish.

btw.. here's a cool video of what Brady did after the game. He threw a TD pass to Brees' son. Great pass!

Tampa was pretty stacked offensively. Their problem was Winston being a TO machine.

I dont think their success is entirely attributable to Brady. They were already a good team on offense waiting for a QB.

Bipolar statement. 1st their success wasn't because of Brady but you're next statement was they were only missing a QB.

No, just another example of you stalking my posts while lacking clear logic.

Winston was a negative at QB. He brings your team downward.

Any decent QB would have been enough for them to be a playoff contender. It didnt have to be Brady, Brady just happens to be who it was. Had you put any handful of other QB there the result is the same.

    Make sense now?

What is that based on? Brady is a top level QB and struggled early. Somehow a lesser QB is going to come in and just make hay. Like Cam Newton? Like who is the handful of QB's available? ANd would they have gotten Gronk out of retirement for some other QB??? De-nial is the longest river in the world.

You argue getting an elite QB is everything in other strings but here getting an elite QB doesn't mean chit. Bipolar.

I'm rooting for Kansas City and Green Bay. Then, I want KC to win. If Buffalo makes it, I'll root for them over either NFC squad. I have axes to grind against Brady and Rodgers and although I hate the Bills, it's kind of like not wanting my brother to do something first as opposed to the buttholes who live down the street and sic their dogs on me as I'm quietly trying to go to school (Flats and Jests). With that being said, I'll come out of everything fine if Brady loses next week.

I think the NFL got the best of both worlds in these matchups.

The two old dogs and the 2 new dogs (if Mahones is ok).
They couldn't have written the script any better.

I just posted what you posted as it isn't based in fact or reality and shredded your comment. How that is making things up is the part I don't understand.

Tell you what - I'll go easy on you from now on even though you said you weren't going to be a fan of this team anymore.

Would prefer Bills vs Packers as I like rooting for teams that have never won. If the Bills win it all, we can defeat the defending champions at least twice in 2021.

Packers are 4-1 in the SB. Tampa is 1-0. So of the two NFC teams you should root for Tampa if you want a different SB champion. Anyway, I personally love to see the 0-4 for the Bills (especially 4 in a row LOL). I don't want that to change so my preference is KC vs. Packers, and I want to see Rodgers win another before he retires so I'm going for GB.

Honestly ive become such a big Josh Allen fan... i think they win next week and face the Packers in the Super Bowl..thats not what the NFL wants, seeing as Mahomes is the face.

We have got to figure out a way to beat the Bills.. josh allen is what, 5-1 now against the dolphins? That has got to change

Bucs vs Bills would be the nightmare scenario for me. I couldn't root for, or be happy with either team winning. I'm hoping it's a Packers vs Chiefs Super Bowl though, a rematch from way back in the day. I'd be okay with either of those teams winning. A Packers vs Bills game would be great as I could root against the Bills -and hope the game comes down to a missed Buffalo FG that goes wide right....

The NFL doesnt give a rat's *** who the face is as long as its pulled from an acceptable place.

If Allen became the new face tomorrow the NFL really wouldnt care.

They actually care A LOT due to market share. They know Brady at home in the Super Bowl would create all kinds of storylines and hype. They also know that KC has a much higher viewership rating than the Bills. So that's the game they're hoping for- KC at Tampa.
