I agree that is really silly, but it's just for fun  and not all of us do it. I certainly don't.

He runs a 4.6. Another LB on our team, Arthur Brown, is just as big as him and runs a 4.4 flat. I don't think he was active for this game though or at least I didn't see him. I believe we have three LB's on the team who run under a 4.6.

I haven't read anything on this thread, so my comments do not relate to what has been posted, I'm too pissed to read them. Nice job Gators, you handed us our asses in a hat. We were outplayed as expected. HOWEVER, that field goal with 25 seconds left was a kick in the balls to make the spread. Tell your punk *** egotistical coach to suck it. That's running up the score. I hope he's happy with that, and that he's still coaching in 2013, I want to ram a victory down his ****ing throat. Best of luck for the rest of the year Urban, you ****.

I think the game was much closer than the score indicated to be honest. We played very well up until the touchdown after the overturned catch. It took the Gators six plays to score on the goal line against us, including a penalty on Randy Phillips. However, after that TD, the team was completely different because we were out of the game. I really think that we played very well against the Gators. I wasn't expecting a win but the confidence and swagger was back in Miami for the first time in a couple years it seemed.

I thought Miami played well, but I also thought the UF coaching staff had a very vanilla game plan. From not blitzing much until late (you were using that qb bootleg and killing us for like 3+ quarters) all the way to on offense not using quick slants and wr screens until the fourth. After the first series where we pretty much moved at will, I think the UF coaches went conservative. Granted, part of it was bc UM was playing good D, the other part is I think UF just felt our D was holding your offense in check so not to risk a turnover or momentum shift.

Good game, you can tell UM is coming back...

I think the weakness with the Hurricanes is the Corners. Van Dyke is ok, he has a lot of potential but doesn't seem to play up to it. Brandon Harris is an absolute playmaker on the team though. I find it a weakness because Van Dyke has a lot of potential but has to live up to it and then the players are all young. They're going to make mistakes in coverage and that's going to be a problem. But our LBing and Defensive Lines are very good. I didn't see Arthur Brown for us out there. He's a 6'2 LB I believe who runs a 4.4 and is a good player. He's not better than Sean Spence though who displayed his talents last night. I still like Darryl Sharpton out there.

On offense, Robert Marve was good out there. I really like his confidence and I think he's going to be a good one. They did a lot of short stuff, managing games but I could understand why they're doing that. At the RB spot, we have Cooper whose a nice talent and Jarvarris James. James got injured so he didn't do much. Cooper can make some plays and Derron Thomas hits the whole hard. He's got some nice vision. Our RB's are pretty good. At the WR spot, I really like Aldarius Johnson. He's going to be a good receiver for us imo. Hankerson dropped some balls, hopefully that changes. As for the Offensive Line, we have to open up some holes for our RB's. They're average in run blocking. In pass blocking, its hard to grade them out since they had Marve roll out a lot.

Overall, the team has a lot of potential and playmakers. In a year, this team will be very good.

No worries, there is an article on Scout.com about how several recruits called Urban to congratulate him on the win and confirm their interest in UF as well. Mountain out of a molehill situation IMO.

No one is beating their chests. Its the Canes fans that are whining and crying about that FG and running up the score that seems to be the issue. I mean for a program that prides themselves on being the "Bad Boys" of college football don't you think its just a tad bit hypocritical??? I mean do we need to go back to the days when Schellenberger would call timeouts at the end of games to tack on some extra points? Or when they had to pour it on ND on national TV when the game was over at halftime?? If your gonna dish it out, you better be prepared to take it. But its all good, keep living in the past.

Really ? Did you see me complain about it ? Noooooo I said it just showed Oscar Wiener Meyer's true character when he stopped to do that. Its not a complaint, but just stating fact. He is a MAJOR A**HOLE who will get his in due time.

I still believe he should be investigated regarding a possible betting problem. :wink2:

We leave the crying up to GayTurds, who I saw plenty of them cry when leaving the Peach Bowl, the OB after Brock Berlin, after 1984 when we beat them in Tampa, in 1981 when we beat them 22-21 with Mark Richt as the QB.

Why is it you have had such a hard time beating Miami with all of its disadvantages ? That is what would worry me if I were a UiF supporter.

By the way, ND has no reason to complain about Miami ever running up the score on them. In 1977 we played ND in Tokyo and Ari Parseasign stopped the clock with just seconds left to kick a FG to make the score 40-17 over the 'Canes, just to get his score over 40. He had nerve complaining about 58-7, a game in which Miami was leading 51-7 going into the 4th qtr. We let up or we could have scored into the 60's.

I'll be betting the game scheduled for 2013 never comes off, because Florida will buy their way out of it, claiming its "too tough" to play Miami & Florida St in the same year. Just like Spurrier cried about when you dropped us......your longest running rival by the way, predating your SEC membership by 3 years.

Lack of money and facilities. You have everything money can buy, yet still could only beat Miami once in 23 years. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

Same as in baseball, you have a 1st class facility in McKethan Stadium, yet have been to the CWS once in like the last 15 years ? Pathetic......

I am done with this thread. Arguing with a UiFer just makes as much sense as electing Bush for the 3rd term

It doesn't bother me at all. When I said ":woot:" in my article/post, I said it because we got more recruits. The score doesn't bother me one bit because a loss is a loss. What was Meyer suppose to do? If the Hurricanes fans should be talking about anything, its the numerous freshmen players that could make an impact for us in the next couple years. We played well that game with 21 or so freshmen total playing and that's what we should be talking about.

Not quite sure what the facilities have to do with this.

That FG was BS in my opinion and I was hoping Shannon was gonna swing on Meyer after the game because you could tell he was ticked. I dont buy the "style points" excuse all that much, every team in the SEC will control their own destiny IMO.

BUt really there is no excuse for throwing to the endzone then kicking a FG when the Canes are waiting for the clock to run out, classless...then again what did you expect from Meyer??

You could make a case against Meyer being classless but I'm still disappointed that this little thing has overshadowed our young players performances. We were out of the game already so I don't understand what the big problem is. Let them kick the field goal, who cares? We lost and that's what mattered most. I really don't care if we lost that game by three more points because anyone who watched that game, knows that the game was closer than the score indicated. That FG had no difference in the W-L column and that's a fact.

As I said in another thread or this one, we should be talking about our young players performances. 21 or so freshmen players took part in the game for Miami, they played well for their first game in a hostile environment and against a very good team. Sean Spence performed well, Marve did well and I liked Aldarius Johnson out there. Brandon Harris looked very good out there. THIS is what we should be talking about as Miami Hurricane fans.

I think its funny to hear all these canes fans talking about classless.

UM, nuff said. Didn't The Canes come on to the field thinking they owned the place. I'm not trying to start a big thing but UM doesn't have a very good reputation.

It was a good game that got away from UM. Good luck to the Canes on the rest of the season. They will be a great power again soon.

I think it all started with Murphy saying that we weren't the real U, that we were just "Miami." Then he said that Florida was the real U. After that, I recall our players saying that UF has to wonder if they can keep up with our speed on defense. I personally thought it was a ok quote considering we were pretty equal in terms of speed out there or at least that's the way I saw it. Then again, I am a :theu: fan and this may come off biased to you which is not intended.

As for the fans talking about Meyer and a lack of class, I do want to clarify as I have in the past that the FGdid not bother me.
