Starting Tua is the right call. They have the best reliever in the game if need be.

It will be a short leash.

    Let's go!!!

I certainly don't agree but, I'm not the coach. Tua is clearly nothing special at this point.

Tua played well on his TD drive, but he was too afraid to try and make things happen, like Fitz did. I think Tua's decision making issues can be coached, probably in one offseason. So I do think his future is bright. But he definitely was playing terribly when it counted most, and Flores made the right call to pull him.

Speaking of which.. I'm really glad we have a no-nonsense coach.

Fitz plays his best when he doesn't know he's going to be playing. You start Tua and throw in Fitz when crunch time rolls around (if you really need to).

Yeah, I mentioned earlier I'd start Fitz. But I'm not going to second guess Flores at this point ,he's the coach of the year IMO. He knows this team. He has a great feel for things as shown tonight with his move to go to Fitz. In Flores I trust. It's not like Tua is bad; he's just a young QB finding his way. Really, if he's the future of this team it's the type of game you want to see him start. Future is too bright to not start him in that situation. I like our chances slightly better with Fitz at this point, but who are we to doubt Flores at this point?

worse was the kneel. If they ran it they might have got a touchdown to pretty much seal it, and if they didn’t the same amount of time would have came off the clock.

Football gods ***** slapped gruden for that mistake

Wow, what a game! I missed the 1st quarter coming home from Orlando but when I got home, I didn't like at all what I was seeing.

Offensively, 4.3 yards per pass isn't going to cut it, not with the lack of skill players we have. If you have receivers that can break a tackle, you can throw those short passes and allow your receivers to make a play, but with what we have, it's not going to cut it. Bringing in Fitzpatrick was indeed the right call. When you have 2nd and 3rd stringers playing, they need a skilled veteran to lead them.

Defensively, I don't know who these Dolphins were. The Raiders were ripping off 10 yard runs. They were ripping off 15 yard passes. The defense just seemed to lack hustle. Sure, they made some plays when it counted but they gave up plays at the worst time. Rowe was getting burned all night long!

The PI call against Jones was flat out garbage. Incidental contact occurs and that's all that was...incidental. Jones' hand touched the shoulder of Agholor. He didn't push him; he didn't pull him; he didn't even grab him. It was a BS call.

Now for the play of the game, Fitzpatrick to Hollins. Jesus, God, Mary and Joseph, FitzMagic's head was completely turned and he threw the ball BLIND...and STILL completed the pass!!! If that isn't the play of the week, then I don't know what is!

    On to Buffalo!!!

Look at Tua’s stats and Fitzpatricks stats and tell me that quarterback play isnt the issue here... the raiders have the second worst secondary in the NFL.. tua doesnt have any arm strength, cant throw in tight windows, and is afraid of throwing the ball deep

We make a deal with the Bills for next week.

I felt like we would have to see Fitz at some point to win, but I honestly didn't expect Flores to go there....very bold call. That last pass by Fitz was literally the play of the year in the NFL; there's absolutely no possible way that pass should have been on target. It made up for the very stern PI call on Jones though.

Amazing game overall- championship teams find a way to win and that's what Miami did tonight. Incredible comeback without the refs on our side.

First game in NFL history to finish 26-25...weird.

But not as weird as how it unfolded LOL!!

That throw Fitz made has GOT to be the craziest these eyes have ever seen. I don't see how you start Tua next week, but its Flo's decision, he's earned the latitude and trust, so I'm good with it.

    INSANE GAME!

    Ravens were probably celebrating...and then.....

The season has been a miracle and the coaching is the reason, but man, I still just don't know about Tua. I get the feeling he COULD be doing much better if he could take off the restrictor plates in his head, but there's no way to tell if that will happen. Not going to call him a mistake yet, but it's not looking good.

I don't think that's all on him though. Gailey's keeping him close to the vest IMO. I'm sure he has his reasons, and it could very well be that he doesn't see it, like you say. Need to see some solid improvement on that in 2021, for sure. I still believe he's the guy, until Flo & Co say otherwise.

Rooting for the bills and packers foremost tomorrow. I *think* those are the two most critical wins for a bills 2nd seed clinch and possible resting of starters. (We would end up playing them 2 weeks in a row. In Buffalo. Brr)

Ravens win/loss tomorrow doesn't really affect much. If we do lose to the bills the ravens need to lose to Cincinnati next week, regardless of how they do tomorrow.

And if we and Baltimore win all 3 remaining games, Baltimore becomes the first team in a long time (ever?) to miss the playoffs at 11-5. Thatd be nuts

EDIT: Technically even with us and Baltimore winning out there are ways for the titans and/or browns to lose *both* games and end up on the outs at 10-6. But that's unlikely

Fitzpatrick is just one of the most likable athletes to ever play this game. What a career defining moment in an already impressive career. I know he’s not starting next week but I wish he was. It just feels like his year. I won’t question the decision as Flores has done an amazing job this year and doesn’t deserve to be questioned by the likes of me, but the Fitzpatrick fan in me really wants to see more Fitzmagic.

He's a rookie who is afraid to make mistakes. He's also throwing to fourth and fifth string receivers. Let's give him some time. I personally don't think he's all that bad. He's got to do a better job at trusting his receivers, letting them make plays. I agree with you....those restrictor plates need to come off asap. I hope he gets better.

Miracle win that I'll gladly and excitedly accept.

The Fins looked a step slow tonight. The Raiders, I believe, played last Thursday night and were playing at home. The Dolphins played Sunday and turned around and had this game on a short week away from home. Have to try to overcome (which the Dolphins did!!!), but a long week of preparation and recovery at home vs. a short turnaround on the road... those differences matter in the NFL.

The Tua and Fitzpatrick show kind of reminds me now of Woodstrock, when Don Shula started his young QB David Woodley, but if he played poorly or just didn't have it a certain day, Shula would send in the veteran Don Strock. Obviously, the analogy isn't perfect. I think Tua has a lot more promise and potential than Woodley did back in the early 80s, but for Flores, he's sort of earned the right to make the same type of decision that Shula made back then.

Unfortunately, I slept through most of the second half, though I did wake up just in time to see the interference call on Jones.

I've just watched the highlights and what a contrast to the first half. Myles Gaskin was outstanding, as was Fitz, when he took over. I don’t ever recall seeing a play like the one where Ryan managed to get off a pass, which was completed, while having his facemask pulled and twisted like that. What a brilliant piece of work by our veteran.

I must admit I thought the game was lost, when the Raiders took the lead with that FG with only 22 seconds left, but it was an amazing effort to get within range for Jason to win it.

Now, we’re all Giants' fans for the day.

It was interesting to hear the commentator say that he’d spoken with Fitz during the week and Ryan told him that Tua, in his opinion, has to learn what "open" is in the NFL, compared to what it was for him at Alabama.

We've seen Tua improve week by week, and I’m sure he will get a lot better the more he plays and sees different situations.

And how sweet is that...to eliminate the Cheaters from playoff contention one week...then eliminate the Raiders from playoff contention the following week. Can't do it 3 weeks in a row, but we can get that W then keep right on eliminating people from the playoffs. We have an extra day to prepare for Buffalo, and they're on a short week...no, I don't expect a W if they play their starters, but I'm not putting anything past Flo at this point.

Watched the game and I‘m glad, that I didn’t stay up last night. Ugly win imo, but that is what great teams do, really like our coach! Tua has to learn to trust his receivers and has to try to throw a deep ball now and then, but overall I like what I‘m seeing. Damn, those new Dolphins are for real!

There's actually a chance for us to move up to #5 or 6 in the seeding if the Steelers and a few others handle business this weekend. Really hoping that the Giants shock the Bills today so we have the playoff lock.

And for week 17, Miami has an extra day for preparation, and the Bills have 2 less than the Dolphins...granted, its a road game, but aside from that, same scenario.

And I agree...that stuff does matter...I believe it makes a few points difference at least.

My primary concern going in, is LV just showed everybody how to abuse our secondary (minus X of course).

I think they have go with Fitzy against Barfalo. They are going to need chunk yardage in order to win. The small ball thing isn't going to cut it in this one. This game is too important.
