Something seems to have changed. It was as crazy a finish as I've ever seen. Even if we go on to lose at Buffalo, I'm impressed this team managed to get double digit wins this season.
Don’t get me wrong. We’re lacking on offense. But these are the games we always seem to lose. But now we’re winning. Bye Pats. Bye Raiders. We own our destiny.
So I've definitely become a lurker on this forum since I've got married and had three kids. But I watched the entirety of that game. And I really really Love this team. that throw might be one of the most amazing throws I've ever seen in my life. Cannot believe we came out of there with the win. That's the definition of a team win. That team did not quit. Flores has that team, they will do anything for him.
LOLOL!! Finally it's the Dolphins that get lucky. 'bout time. SOOO glad we won this game because this was not the way I wanted the Dolphins to end their playoff hopes. Overall disappointing game but Flores made a brilliant decision to bench Tua and go with Fitz, and voila! Tua is going to be fine. We've seen flashes from him, but he's a rookie. Time to end the year with Fitz. Oh, and next year I want an offense heavy draft (personally I'd try to get 2 of Chase, Smith and Waddle) and if Flores really has guts he gets us a better OC than Gailey. Either way, fantastic win!!! Go Dolphins!
Only Fitz and I mean ONLY FITZ....Makes that throw! He was put on this planet to make throws like that happen! I can't believe this! I can't believe we won that game! We had no business winning that game.
Did not get to watch but had hopes the whole game. After what I have seen and watching the forum for the game Tua needs time on the sideline without a doubt to grow if he can learn.
Wish I could like this post 1000 times. I don't want to see Tua unless its in garbage time or if Fitz gets hurt.
I'm not sure who quit on them to be honest. I think if they lost this game, I know I for sure wouldn't be down on this team, I'd be down on the league and their officials for allowing the outcome to have been dictated by two pretty blatant blown calls in the Raiders favor. Not our team itself.
I think Tua starts, but he's on a short leash. Up in Buffalo? That's no easy task. If that game turns out to be a must win, I don't know....I'm gonna agree with you for now. I'd feel more comfortable with Fitz starting, but this is also Tua's baptism so to speak.
Fits after the game “yeah my face mask was being ripped off but I think it slowed down the pass just enough to complete that play”. What an awesome interview.
I know you didnt say anything but I do want to point out that I dont think Tua played horribly. He just isnt comfortable trying to fit the ball into NFL windows yet. He makes good decisions but he just needs to learn to make the best decision.
You know what... also big props to Mack Hollins. He had two crucial drops tonight. One that killed a drive, the other that coulda been a TD. Yet there he is, making the catch and getting right out of bounds when we needed it. Good for him to bounce back and have that moment.
Does Tua get the win since he was the starter? Funny if he did. Just goes to show that stats don’t tell the whole game.
It's a tough call for Flores. For me, I would start Fitz. Especially coming off the high of tonights game and Buffalo is too good on defense to put ourselves in a hole if Tua doesn't start well. Tua's going to have his time for a win and you're in type moment. He's going to have plenty of them I think. Right now just isn't the right time. He needs more time to grow into the NFL. Lets not forget, limited action this year, no preseason, missed time the end of last year in college. He's going to get there, I think the offense needs Fitz right now.
I frequent a Titans message board as well, and they pretty much all agreed with how BS the OPI and DPI calls there at the end were. If the refs used the standard they used to call the DPI, on the OPI non-call, they would've called it. Just be balanced in how you call it, that's all I ask. If one team can do it, you gotta let both do it. I'm past the point of expecting NFL refs to call a "good" game...just try to be balanced FFS.
Justice for bad NFL ref calls is rarely served. We beat two opponents tonight with a little of “fitzmagic” , sip and enjoy! F the way you are “supposed” to win because many calls were trying to prevent that! Feels fkin awesome!!!!
That's exactly what i'm seeing too. As Kurt Warner pointed out...Being "open" in the NFL is a lot different than in college. Tua doesn't see that just yet, but I think he will in time. He's got to give his guys a chance to make plays. We saw it in the KC game where he just let it rip in the fourth quarter of that game. More of that....Fitz coming in tonight win or lose was absolutely the right call in my opinion.
It's also kind of funny to look back in hindsight to Jacobs not scoring the TD and having it backfire.
Let's see.Fitz had half completions and double the yardage and season would be over with Tua under center at end of game! Fitz needs to start with any chance of beating Bills! Any argument your clueless!
Can’t win like that every week and you can’t count on your defense to give it back to you as much as they have this season. This offense is starving for talent except for TE. Another offseason will do wonders for this offense.
