I just love these media turds. They release a story about Tom Brady's health citing an "unnamed Jets player" as their source. First off, since when do players get medical information from other teams hot off the press. IN addition, it's a player on a team that has been playing a game while all this happened. God that's pathetic journalism.
Jets fans were spreading all kinds of rumors at the stadium today. First, Brady was unconscious and not responsive. Next, he broke his leg. I called my brother who watches from home (D.C.) and he was like, huh? He told me they just said he was questionable to return. No other word.
I'm going to have to "grain of salt" this one until a more credible source releases information. If his ACL was torn, the news would have been all over the place by now. Well, unless they're keeping it confidential until the second opinions chime in. Although I'd love to see New England suffer a disastrous season, definitely not at the hands of a player's health. I hope he's OK.
We didn't find out about Ronnie tearing his ACL until the following day and NE has always been very secretive about injuries.
Up to this point in his career he hasn't been. Also the Jets shouldn't count their chickens before they hatch as Cassell looked good today versus the Chiefs and can put up a good fight. That game next week will be interesting for sure. This year's AFC East if Brady is out for a while will be interesting as this will open the door for everyone else. Buffalo in this case would be my current favorite to surprisingly win the division followed by the Jets, Pats, and Fins in no particular order. I think the Fins will be competitive this year in this division if they take today's game and build off of it. If they cut out the young jitters/mistakes they can win games as they almost stole that one today. I feel optimistic about this year still.
Definitely could see them doing that. Of course the NFL wouldn't say anything because disciplining the Patriots is blasphemy.
One thing I hate about NE is the fact that they hide injuries. We'll probably never know how injured Brady is.
Report: Brady out for the year ProFootballTalk.com - REPORT: BRADY OUT FOR THE YEAR Just noticed MelbournePhin posted this in Pats Fans thread.
Karma is not done butt raping the Patriots! I do not wish injuries on teams. I mean any team except the Patriots. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! But it will mean nothing if our Phins can't get it together and make some noise in this division.
Finkle is right, Michael Silver of Yahoo Sports is reporting that Brady has torn his ACL, with possible damage to other ligaments, and is done for the year. In the words of PFT, the Pats are now mortal, and the Chargers just lost. The Colts are in a shaky position unless Manning comes out in an hour and looks like regular ol' Peyton. Folks, the AFC is now just as wide-open as the NFC. The playoffs are actually going to be exciting this year. And somewhere in New York, in his office, Roger Goodell is crying into a hooker's bosom. His long-term marketing plan, pushing the Patriots front and center, has just been demolished. We're talking David Tyree plus Plaxico Burress times ten. It's a good thing he pulled "Believe In Now" out of his rear end at the last minute, because there are at least 20 teams in serious contention now.
Belichick said they wouldn't know anything until tomorrow. We know he never speaks the truth. Peter King said Brady has suffered a very serious injury and could be lost for the season. We won't know the true facts until tomorrow. IMO
Jay Glazer on Fox saying "ACL" and it looks bad. Vince Youngs on the other hand doesnt seem to bad, might be good to go next week.
Hate to say it, but the Jets have the best shot. Bills are right there with them. We're still in last place.
I never wish injury on anybody, to me that is classless, even to Brady or anybody in the AFC East, but I think they can say hello to Chris Simms now.
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Reigning NFL MVP Tom Brady left Sunday's game against Kansas City after being hit on the left leg, depriving the New England Patriots of the quarterback who last season led them to a 16-0 regular season and their fourth Super Bowl appearance in eight years. Brady suffered a serious knee injury against the Chiefs that will end his 2008 season, reports NFL Network’s Adam Schefter. http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d80a95089&template=with-video&confirm=true
Its official. Brady will require knee surgery. Being placed on IR this week. Done for the year. While, this helps our PHINS, I hate to see anyone get hurt, even someone from the hated PATS (or Jets/Bills for that matter).
Brady tore his ACL and MCL. The recovery time will be 6-9 months. ESPN - Report: Brady tore both ACL, MCL; Gutierrez rejoins Pats - NFL
Isnt this pretty close to what C-Pepp had to go through? Cept I think he tore all three. Carson Palmer had two go. One was done, the other is back, but I dont think anywhere near where he was before the incident
Agreed to some extent, but you are contradicting yourself as well. Anybody that has had any knee work (I have) knows that the worst thing about rehab is planting and twisting...That is something that Brady DOES depend quite a bit on....well that and the incredible amount of time his O-Line gives him.
