Ok, may be dumb but just had to share. Had dinner tonight at Shula’s Steakhouse at the Dolphin Hotel in Walt Disney World. What an experience!! The entire restaurant is a testament to the Miami Dolphins, with vintage photos of the Dolphins. The meal? Oh my God!!!! I highly recommend the Cowboy Ribeye! A bit pricey so if you do go, be ready to shell out at least $100 per head but God was it good!! Maybe you can get lucky and see some players from the team, past or present. I wasn’t so lucky this time around but was told they do show up from time to time. Fins up!!
I would say a top 3 dining experience in my lifetime. Had a nice cocktail in the lounge right before dinner. The steak menu on the Don Shula autographed football. They brought out every single cut of steak they had on a tray and presented it to you before you order. Great place. I believe I had the Cowboy Ribeye as well.
When I was able to come down for a game a while back, I stayed at what's now known as the Shula's Hotel in Miami Lakes, and ate at the Shula's 2 sports bar on site. It was really, really good food. There used to be a Shula's Steakhouse in a fancy hotel in Richmond, VA, but I never got the chance to check it out. I rarely spend that kind of money on a meal anyways, though.
