Emmanuel Ogbah is beasting this year. Says he says he used to watch Cam Wake highlights before his games. If he can come even close to that level that would be awesome.
    • His 7 sacks ties him for 4th in the league.
    • His 3 forced fumbles is 3rd
    • 3 batted passes ties him for 2nd in the league.
    • He is tied for 6th with QB hits (13).
    What a great pick up.

Definitely playing at a pro bowl level. This FO hit a grand slam with our draft picks and FA’s.

I know I viewed the Ogbah signing as a mere stopgap, but at 27, he could be the solution to our EDGE woes. I hope he can keep it up.

This could free us to look at offensive skill position players with that Houston pick, or even Micah Parsons.

At the very least it means we dont have to potentially reach for anyone or trade up. If a guy is our best option we can take him or look elsewhere if the guy isnt.

You know, the general talk on the boards here has been offense...Tua, Fitz, Gaskins, Williams, Parker, Geseiki....offense, offense, offense. The Miami Dolphins are not an offensive team. We' re a DEFENSIVE team and our defense is winning these games for us.

We can pull all of the offensive stats we want however, we need to look at the ultimate stat counter, the scoreboard.
    at New England 11-21
    vs Buffalo 28-31
    at Jacksonville 31-13

This is the game right here. Miami's first win and their first in which they held a team under 20 points. I point this out due to its significance. At this point in the season, the Dolphins' defense was allowing 21.67 points per game, including this one. Now continuing on.

    vs Seattle 23-31
    at San Francisco 43-17
    vs NY Jests 24-0
    vs LA Rams 28-17
    at Arizona 34-31

Now in this stretch of the schedule, Miami had 3 very tough games on their schedule; Seattle, LA Rams and Arizona. All 3 of these teams statistically have powerhouse offenses. The Seahawks scored 31, the Rams scored 17 and the Cardinals yesterday scored 31 but in the grand scheme, from Seattle to current, the Dolphins defense allowed 19.2 points versus the 21.67 during the first 3 game stretch. When you average it all in, Miami's defense has allowed 20.125 points per game (18.57 points prior to yesterday).

With our remaining schedule, and the games I called for us to win, we're going to win those games BIG as there are no other offensive powerhouses out there for us to face, save Kansas City...but then again, we're playing them in Miami and not Arrowhead.

No, the Miami Dolphins in the Tua era will be BOTH an offensive and defensive team, and yesterday was a great example of why you need a great QB because the defense can't always be relied on. Give Tua the right pieces and this offense is going to be top 5 consistently. Anyway, in the future you'll see many games where BOTH offense and defense win games for us.

Anymore I try not to get too high or too low, but this is really looking like the start of something special. I'm sure there will be some bumps along the way but this thing is trending in the right direction. A few more solid starters and some quality depth and this team is gonna be scary good for years to come. We've all been waiting for this for so long, our team is relevant again!
