It quotes Mike Lombardi as saying that since Grier and Flores will likely have a high draft pick they need to evaluate Tua and decide whether he is better than Justin Fields or T. Lance.
I think the offensive line was able to keep Arron Donald in check. He ended up with just 3 tackles and 1 assist. 1 tackle for loss, 1 sack and forced fumble. Take away the 2nd play of the game and the only time I heard his name was the one he blew up the wildcat. Please just stop with the wildcat. I thought the Tua could have run more out of the RPO. It looked like he had room to roam sometimes.
Donald ate the offensive line nearly every play. The reason his stats arent better is that in the run game hes drawing double teams and the passing game went to very short passes. Dont let his line deceive you. He impacted the game more than anyone on the Rams defense.
So they nutralized him. Either through scheme or through play. Pro Football Focus credited the Dolphins offensive line with four pressures allowed. Left tackle Jesse Davis and center Ted Karras both pitched pass protection clean sheets (no sacks, hits or hurries allowed). You quote stats when it suits you. Then when it doesn't you say they don't really matter....look at the eye test. You're consistently inconsistent on your positions.
Who would that have been? If you're going to brag about your QB analysis skills and say Tua wasn't the best pick, then you definitely have to share who you would have drafted in the 2nd round that would be "as good of a QB".
When have I ever quoted stats to make a point about a player? I'm genuinely curious and feel like you're either lying or confusing me with another person. The only time I talk stats is when I was debating the user "The Guy" because he wont have a debate about anything else. Even then I only spoke to how to interpret different statistics, I never used them to say a player was good or bad.
Well to be fair he said our second first.Thatcould mean taking Love, we could have taken Hurts at some point, someone else because I dont want to answer for him. I dont necessarily think there was another QB after Tua worth taking that much later, i personally just wanted Herbert.
I know who was available- I simply asked him to back up his very detailed assertion of picking better than our GM's with an actual name. You can't make blanket statements like that without offering some opinion of your own.
Well in your reply you said with our second rounder, I mostly just wanted to make sure you knew he meant the second first round pick we had.
We actually had three in the 1st round- 5, 18, and 30. So who's the QB that will have an equal or better career than Tua with your 18th overall pick?
Hey if you wanna call me a negative Nancy I'll respect that opinion all day. I just dont appreciate labels that arent accurate. Instead of just judging me on one subject, Tua, I'd like if people maybe looked at the rest of my posts because they dont seem to have a problem giving them likes, agreeing with me and having great conversation. Not liking Tua doesnt make me a "Hater" Also idk why you're even being so rude, I was just pointing out that Donald impacted our offense and gameplan. Hes the reason we didnt see many deep drops or plays that take longer to unfold despite his numbers. I wonder if Gaskin would think I'm a hater based on this post I made?
Yeah but in this case I feel like the one being flogged. Like, all I did was give Donald his credit and got snark.
Some Dolphins snippets in here at: 18:11 18:42 19:00 19:49 21:41 The whole thing is probably worth a watch, there are some gems in there. The DK Metcalf stuff is fun.
