No offense but why are people always so concerned with this? I dunno, which Fins RB or WR has the best arm? Or you know, we could just pick someone up off the street/waivers. Teams concerned with who the backup QB might need to be are teams competing for a championship. That aint us. We'll be lucky to back into a wildcard spot. But we still need at least 1 more very good draft and FA offseason first. Once all that happens, and Tua proves himself to be the guy to buy around, I will certainly put more thought into that position.
Oh, definitely. I certainly think that having Fitz has value. I do not dispute that. I don't think that if Fitz gets traded, he would ghost Tua. Even if he did, Tua has Dan freaking Marino. I get it is not the same, but something tells me, Dan could fill that void. Like I said before, I think Fitz's future with the team is murky after this season, and if trading him could help bring an absolute stud on the roster next season, I think it could do so much more in the long run.
Yeah, I'm would need at least a second round pick in return if I was in charge of trade. Yes, I know it's a pipedream, but considering how valuable Ryan Fitzpatrick is as the team's back up, if we're in a position where - God forbid - Tua has to be benched for any reason and we're stuck rolling the dice with Reid Sinnett, we might as well get a good pick for it.
A second rounder for a near guaranteed trip to the playoffs.... Fitz would do that for Dallas, assuming the coach there hasn’t already lost the locker room... which sounds possible there.
