I would like it if we could get Marcus Trufant, if we dont trade for Chad Johnson i would like Bernard Berrian or DJ hackett or even B. Johnson from the Cards , and some other people but i just want to know who u guys think could be a good fit in miami In the first round i would like to get Chris Long if we dont trade down and in the second round i think we should get Colt Brennan or Andre' Woodson if Bill didnt like what he saw form Beck today
theres no reason to take another qb in the second and honestly if we did i would be pissed we got a chance to get some studs with those two secnd rders we don need anoher guy who isnt going to start for us
Players that I think we have a reasonable chance of getting with our picks in rounds 1-3 Draft: DE/LB Vernon Gholston WR Limas Sweed ILB Jonathon Goff OLB Shawn Crable T/G Heath Benedict CB Dwight Lowery FA: Asomugha And a big fat NT
Id take hardy for sweed 100%. Sweed will be the next Jarrett watch n see i think. Lowery? the cB? i doubt he gets knocked to the 7th round. and in FA that isnt enoguh work done with the amount we have to spend and no linemen? wow horrible offseason.
Well if Andre' Woodson or Colt Brennan are aviable i think they may be to good to pass up and if we got Colt Brennan he probly wouldnt fumble as many because He is used to Samson because as u know Samson was at Hawaii last year and so was Colt Brennan
That wasn't a mock draft, just players that I like in the draft that we have a reasonable chance of getting. And I'm not a fan of spending big this offseason, this is a rebuilding job, not a retooling.
I really like your list. I think I wouldn't mind any of the big name Defensive players , Gholston/Long/Dorsey. If we'd trade down I'd like to see Malcom Jenkins or James Lairunitas. Just wishful thinking tho. If Brennan/Brohm/Woodson fall to the 2nd I wouldn't mind picking one up. If we don't I'll be fine with that too. Good list tho man.
i played against malcolm jenkins in hs hehad two defensive tds against us lol. He was also a running back/ wide reciever i had two tackles for a loss on him in that game makes me feel god knowin he will be playin on sundays. The guy is a baller, he played for Piscataway high school in New Jersey
yea i think so to i would really like to get Brennan or Woodson i really doubt that Brohm will fall to #32 Pick overall but yea i would really like to get Brennan he wouldnt have to get used to the center eather because they have already played togther
i just did the first 2 i really dont know who is going to be in the draft i think we need to take the TE from USC if he is Aviable with our 2B pick
Free Agency Nnamdi Asomugh Drayton Florence Kawika Mitchell Isaac Sopoaga Stacy Andrews Draft Round 1 Chris Long Round 2 James Hardy or Limas Sweed Round 2, Pick 2 Fred Davis Round 3 Chad Henne
Hardy for the win! then Id say Gholston if not trade down n get Laurinitis to the 5 - 8 spot. Rem Parcells LOVES his te's taht can play 100% so if davis can't block and his on the baord dont expect him to be ours. n h eloves his TE's to be big/tall.
Free agency: I'd like to see us pick up a good veteran for the O-Line, any position except centre and to re-sign Hadnot. There appear to be 2 or 3 very good CBs coming onto the market and I'd like to see us snag one of them. Apart from that depth and a ST gunner or two. Draft: Dline. Middle Linebacker - maybe 2 if we permanently shift to 3/4 as I see us set at OLB with Channing Crowder, Joey Porter and Derrick Pope providing a solid group of OLBs. O-Line depth in the secondary and offensive skill positions. We need a shut down corner but I'd prefer us to fill that need via free agency and save our draft picks for other positions.
You don't go for any big names in FA this year. This team is too far away to start signing big names. It'll only be a cap hit and take time away from developing other players. Might you win more games now because of it? Sure, but you are just as likely to be mortgaging your future. This team should really only be spending in FA to fill holes (ie get a NT if there is not one on the roster), not improve positions.
