With all the rumors surrounding the Dolphins Draft (which is fun to hear the fins being the focus of all the media speculation) I think we might have some strong clues about the Dolphins plans.

I think the Dolphins may be looking at selecting their top choice at OT (My guess is Thomas, maybe Wirfs) at 5 overall, and wanting to Trade up to select Tua or Herbert somewhere higher than 18. We may even sit at 18 and still get our QB as surprising as that sounds, because the rush for OT will hit early in the draft. Some players like CB Odukah, DT Brown, QB Burrow, SS/OLB Simmons, are sure things to fit somewhere in that Top 10 (by the looks of it). If Becton, Wirfs, Thomas, and Wills all go early too on the OL, and CB Henderson (Riser in draft IMO) that could push Tua or Herbert back...maybe even to 18 overall. I think it's more likely to be Tua at 18 than Herbert if a slide occurs.

I just posted this in two other threads, so may as well put here too, what the hell.

Grier's just getting a pulse. He's talking to Detroit and NY and getting asking prices for the move up. No other team has the draft capital that we do or is as close as we are to both picks. So, if both teams are asking for a king's ransom and he knows if they wouldn't do it, then it's likely no one else will either.

The pick is Tua and they're just making sure he's gonna be there at #5 so they don't have to move up to get him.

Almost every year someone falls crazy in Love with a QB it could push a medically questionable Tua or intangible lacking Herbert down. I could see either of them falling without the Love factor.

I would try to trade down a little, still grab a top OT, and then maybe one is there at 18.

In terms of Draft capital, it's amazing that we don't JUST have goodies to offer in 2020, but again with many high selections in 2021. I actually hope we trade back once or twice to build more picks again in 2021 and 2022. Keep it rolling. There are plenty of great players and our needs are wide and deep.

This is the best option, all great teams are built through the draft, the more picks we have the better.

Rosen is his answer by the looks of things. Followed by QB next year upon further inspection..
