Reports are the Texans may want to trade into the first round: https://www.profootballrumors.com/2020/04/texans-discussing-trade-into-first-round

I'd be happy to bend them over a barrel and just load the heck up, depending on how the draft falls. If we come away with a QB and OT with our first two picks, moving from 26 to 40 will still leave us with lots of options. I'd demand 40, 90 and at least 1-2 more either low round or 2021.

    I mean

If the Texans offered something stupid like

a second round this year... a second round next year... and a lower throw in

    Sure

Otherwise no.... Take Mims 26th overall

Dude, we already own their first and second rounders next year. What do they have to trade? Their 2022 first rounder? Could be a high pick I guess.

He's 150% in on the 2020 season. After O'Brien is fired next winter, then they might deal him away and start totally over.

I'd let them into the first round if it means we get Watson.

They have 40 and 90 this year, and a third next year. It's a starting point!

Why trade for Watson when we can Draft Tua... Or Love or Herbert or Hurts??? and keep that draft pick. Watson is expensive. and he has already had 2 knee surgeries.

    No.....

I'm not giving up 26 for 40 and 90. Would need more that they don't own.

I don't love Watson like some do, but I feel that he's much better than any of the ones in this draft are likely to be.

    OBrien is a moron.

Just saw a great interview with Les Snead, the Rams GM, where he said that most people thought they were going to cut Brandin Cooks because of his high salary, so when O'Brien offered them a 2nd they had to take it.

Good lawd O'Brien is a rube.

The insane thing is that with that 2nd pick in this draft they can probably get a WR just as good as Cooks for $40 million less over the next 4 years.
