I found out last night that I get it here finally in Minnesota, and then realized I am ****ing working from 12-4, the model home had better get CBS or I am quitting!!!!
It's on in Springfield! But I'll be on the road to South Bend, IN Sunday AM. But it's on in South Bend, too! But check-in at my hotel isn't until 3 p.m. I'm thinking about playing the disabled card. "Hi, my name is Steve. I have a reservation for today, and I'll never walk again. How about getting me in my room two hours early?"
Seriously, in a city that is absolutely supposed to detest anything and everything Steelers, why in the **** would they ever, EVER, show a steelers game around here when it isn't a national game.censored:
I just found an Irish pub down the street which thankfully has Sunday Ticket. That place has great food, so I am excited now.
go to the bars people... i actually enjoy going to the bar to watch the fins (as long as they have nice TVs)... you get to watch a bunch of other games during the commercials/halftime... and its a fun atmosphere... i never understand out of market 21+ year old people on this board who say they never get to watch the dolphins because they aren't on TV... its 3 hours at a bar on a Sunday im sure you can swing it... even if you dont drink just get some apps and enjoy
Because I spent my money on a 42" tv, and happen to enjoy the comfort of my living room where I can yell and scream, and not worry about getting thrown out. I can pause, rewind, and fast foreward at home. Not to mention not having to worry about putting up with other people who are often considerably louder then I am. Also, fins games tend to be on the same time as browns games, so the bars are always full of browns fans who drown out anything else that is going on.
no, i know why you would PREFER to have it on at home... but im talking about the people who, when its not, will instead watch another teams game instead of dealing with everything you just said to watch the Phins... thats what i dont get... i prefer watching the game at home, dont get me wrong sunday is Jets Phins which means i can watch on my big screen, have friends over and listen with sound, etc... but if they aren't on at home im gonna hit the bar rather than watch the gamecenter or something on NFL.com
I look at it like this. I don't live in Miami or in Florida. So I assume that they will not show the Dolphins on TV...ever. So I always go to a sports bar with my friends and we all watch the games together. I don't have to pay for DirecTV, I get to cheer with other Dolphins fans (because cheering by yourself is rather lame), and its also a chance to see all the other games being played as well, plus it gets me out of the house. So I'm looking on the bright side that the Dolphins aren't on TV. Go out and mingle with other fans, its a great time.
I don't know any other fins fans around here. All my friends around here are either browns or steelers fans, or not football fans at all.
Not everyone is single and have no kids. So i understand for some. Plus its not like you can go to a bar and not spend money. You probably spend atleast $15-20 each if youre single. Imagine if its 2-3 in a family. Thats gets expensive by Week 8 the half way point. Thank god im single w/no kids I used to go every Sunday to Nationals Sports Bar from 10am - 4pm and i loved to be able to see all the games at one time. Sucks i couldnt hear the Dolphins game though. Atleast at home with the Ticket i can wake up 15 mins before the game and do a quick shower and just blast my TV. Oh yeah and at home i get to track all my Fantasy Teams. Too me each has its advantages.
Mention something vaguely medical like a catheter exploding. That stuff freaks 'em out. Hey, I ain't too proud to use my (lack of) powers for evil.
if you cant get the wife to give you 3 hours on a sunday to hit a spot to watch the fins... you married the wrong woman
Oh,yes sir.Right on with that one. What really sucked was back in 1990 when I moved to Florida I got all the Fins games up until the freakin Bucs started winning. Now you can't get a Dolphin game anywhere on the TV. Sooo, when that problem arrived I put up the bucks for the Ticket.Whether I liked(paying) it or not. If your a fan you FIND a way to watch your team.
I just hope that my payment of 17 dollars per loss last season is better this year. Besides I always end up with Jets fans next to me it seems no matter who Miami is playing. Greasy weasles.
Jets-Dolphins will be viewed by 66% of the country. Simms & Nantz are the announcers on CBS. It is the national 1pm game.
This ticks me off. People are getting the game on the West Coast while I don't get it here in Florida, you know the place where the Miami Dolphins play. Stupid *** stuff I tell ya.
Do you live near Tampa or Jacksonville? Could be the reason. Still stupid. Should be no more than two teams a state and both teams should play at different times so everyones game is always shown all over the state, like the Jets and Giants do things.
I'm in Orlando which is a couple hours from Tampa and like four hours from JAX I think. I hate watching the Jags play. That damn team is so boring.
Best post I have read in a long while. You gotta do what you gotta do to see the Phins. I understand.
All that matters is that they win games. Infact they won 13 (including the postseason) last season. I don't care how boring my team plays, if they win, I'm happy. We could win every game 3-2 for all I care.
WTF, the Game isn;t in Hi-Def on DirecTV? What are they ****in nuts? Its the biggest damn story of the year!. I got the iggles and steelers game on regular tv too. for god's sake, the lions vs the falcons is in Hi-Def...but not Miami vs NY? ****s about to get broken.
