I think he needs a year of work on the bench

Given our OL talent right now, I doubt this guy would have to sit on the bench for a year. He should be able to step right in and play.

As for the video I shared, I thought he was very intelligent, and well spoken. His maturity at 21 was impressive.

I could certainly see Jones being available at #18 and and Jackson at #26. I expect that we'll probably go QB at 5 and OT at 18. I hate having pre-determined positions at different slots, but I think that's how it will most likely play out (Tua at 5 and one of the top 6 OTs at 18). Although I could see a situation where more OTs go off the board early and a BPA is unexpectedly available at 18. I'm not sure what I would do at 26 as there are several players I like that I expect to be there, but I Jackson is one of them so I wouldn't complain if that's what happens. I think his age is a huge plus. I think that he came out too early and that if he had stayed he'd be a top 15 OT next season. I think you have a clear top 4 Ts that people have in various orders. Then you have Jones and Jackson. Jones' tape is much better, but Jackson is the better athlete and younger. I've heard some claim that he was better this year than last, but that's not what I saw and his PFF numbers show that they came to a similar conclusion. There's the argument that Jackson was probably not healthy for most of the year and that's why his tape isn't all that great and I see that as valid. Arguably, Jackson may end up being better 3-5 years from now. That obviously depends on development which is always a risk. My primary concern with Jackson is that he doesn't seem to have that nasty streak. I do like them both and wouldn't complain about either or both guys being added.

What falling player would you skip picking up a tackle (assuming the best left are Jones/Jackson)? I keep seeing mocks where Jeudy is going later and later. Him and maybe Kinlaw would be the ones I would probably most have to skip OT for.

I think it's still possible that we could get a few good tackles in rounds 2-3, it's just so deep this year. Guys like Wilson, Cleveland, Peart should be around I think, unless there is just a massive run.

I was thinking maybe WR, but if there were a bong video that popped up around Simmons or Okudah...

Lol this was a draft I ran earlier today. Couldn't complain too heavily imo.

    • 5 Tua Tagovailoa

    • 18 Jerry Jeudy

    • 26 Javon Kinlaw

    • 39 Austin Jackson

    • 56 Ashtyn Davis

    • 70 Matthew Peart

Also managed to get Dillon in the 4th and OT Driscoll in the 5th for more OT insurance.

I urge you to go watch some film on Jackson. I think he is either A - gonna be a bust or B - gonna be a guard.

Just watch when passes rushers have any sort of speed against him. He totally gets lost in space. This is even more apparent when he kicks out for pass protection and defenders try to cut back in. I see these problems mitigated if he moves inside.
