It is a fact that Fitz know how to read the defense far better then Tannehill He runs because he knows that there is no place to throw in time and runs with it....Tannehill on the other hand stays in the pocket and holds on the ball too long and gets sacked..

If it is a fact, then you have proof to back it up? Other than your own interpretation of what you see when watching the game?

He is likely right, Fitz doesn't have the arm talent to NOT be one of the better guy's at reading defenses and improving. His football IQ is why he is a starter in the league.

I have adopted the Titans from here on out, nothing would make me happier than watching them beast thru the AFC.

I'm not sure Tannehill's issue in that regard is reading defenses, because he seems to often be unaware of the pass rush around him even when it arrives relatively soon after the snap. I think the issue is that he has a limited ability to divide his attention between what's happening downfield and what's happening around him in the pocket. So he's going through his progressions downfield, with a diminished awareness of what's happening in the pocket.

Then when his awareness of the pass rush becomes unavoidable, he transfers his awareness from downfield to it and attempts to move, but by then it's often too late to evade the pass rush successfully and he's sacked.

Watch Joe Burrow by contrast. He's going through his progressions and moving in response to the pass rush at the same time.

Well coached team with a solid defense and a QB that keeps the chains moving by any means necessary.

Hard not to root for them to be honest.

That crazy trade Houston made for Tunsil...and that line is getting abused like it's Miami's OL AT Buffalo.

It is obvious who the best player on the Titan offense is, but they have a PERFECT Qb for that amazing running game. LB's even on 3rd down are scared to get deep, Ryan stays in the pocket knowing they are coming and delivers a great ball.

    Titans UP!

A little more than the usual “challenge”. It’s almost impossible to win there for ANYONE.

So far so good. Threw a dime for a TD with pressure in his face.

Maybe he had a concussion, but Allen made some really bad decisions near the end of regulation and even in OT. He looked lost sitting on the bench. Real questions about him will linger till he plays better in big games. The Bills D also folded when it mattered most.

Not a team I'm going to worry about that much unless Allen shows a lot of growth.

Now, if New England gets up by a significant margin and Tennessee has to pass the ball to come back, prepare for Tennessee's offensive line to look bad!

That's what happens when opposing defenses know you have to pass!

In fact, take a look at how frequently even just two or three rushers get pressure on a hail mary play.

Titans defense with a great stand. The offense needs to move the ball, at least for a FG try, and don't let the Pats have a chance for more points before the half.

The above continued in the first half today, where Tannehill had a mere 9 pass attempts. By contrast, Brady had more than double, 22.

You're missing the obvious. The Titans are more than happy to have Brady pass the ball.

Over half Brady's completions are screens. He's thrown two balls down field that should've been picked. Logan Ryan dropped the easiest Pick 6 of his career already.

Brady's figure was just a point of reference. The point is that Tannehill plays well as a function of his number of pass attempts. As they go up, he plays more poorly.

Dude, that's not a Tannehill thing. That's every QB. No one completes them all and the more you throw, the more incompletions you're going to have.

Most of what Brady throws is screens at the LOS. He's still only completing ~60% of his passes.

That's not every QB. The correlation between pass attempts and passer rating game-by-game in the league as a whole in 2019 was -0.03. For Tannehill specifically it was -0.87. That's an astronomical difference.

Gee, I thought the Patriots had the number one defense in the league. I guess THIER play had nothing to do with that play, did it? It was all Tannehill sucking, huh?

You really think Tannehill's awareness and evasion of pressure is a function of the strength of opposing defenses? When he plays against poor defenses, he's much better at it?

I thought Van Noy was off-sides on that one play, but the Titans' RT sucks. On the following play, the DB shoved the WR in the chest. Romo commented on the "Refs letting them play", but if roles were reversed, I doubt it.
