Ford had a really nice game but I'm going to be honest I wasnt overly impressed with any specific skills he has that set him apart from anyone else at the position.

That said he did have a really good game and I'm not trying to downplay that necessarily. I just dont think it's something we should expect going forward.

Though he looked like a future HOF player compared to Albert Wilson a couple times lol

What I liked is he got open and caught the ball. He did his job and made the most of his opportunities. Sure, he is probably a role player going forward, but we need guys like him to be productive, too. :-)

Are there any players that have you excited for them next year?

I want to see Parker cross 1,300 to 1,400 yards next year because I believe he can do it if healthy with the right QB. Fitz or otherwise. On the final drive of the game NE was so scared of him winning a jump ball down field they started just giving him the 8 yard pass. It was beautiful to watch one of our WR actually dictate coverages.

I hope Williams can come back with his hands a little more reliable because we could have a dominant 1-2 punch at WR.

I want to see what Van Ginkle can do on the defensive side. He seemed to be generating some pressure and at the very least impacting the pocket Brady had this week. We didnt see him enough this year to get a good read on him.

Wilkins because I've never seen a first round pick be talked about less whether its positive or negative. None of us had anything to say about him this year.

Then of course whoever we draft.

That was straight-up awesome! And it's true...if Tannehill and Tennessee defeat the Pats next week, it's basically the Dolphins ending their era of dominance. This Dolphins folks...the team with all the scrubs and castoffs that was supposed to go 0-16!

This honestly may turn out to be my favorite NFL year of football in recent memory.

I was fearful when I saw that the game was being shown live in the UK on Sky Sports but it turned out be very enjoyable watching. Particularly liked the pick 6 off Brady and the late winning TD.
So another poor season is over and the QB situation is far from clear.Just hope they make good use of the high draft picks in 2020 and be more competitive next season.

Actually, I DON'T want to see Parker get that many receiving yards. I know, sounds horrible, but here's my logic...

If Parker (or any other receiver for that matter) gets THAT many yards in a season, then the team is throwing the ball WAAAAAAAY to much! Everyone knows me and knows my football philosophy. You have GOT to have balance! If you can't effectively RUN the ball, then you can't effectively THROW the ball and in the month of December, you HAVE to be able to RUN the ball.

New York, Buffalo, Foxborough...Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Green Bay, Chicago, Kansas City, Washington...all of these places have one thing in December that Miami doesn't have...***SNOW*** December games away and in snowy conditions, you HAVE to be able to run the ball. Not saying that you CAN'T throw the ball, but you've GOT to be able to run.

This is one reason I think Tennessee is going to really surprise a lot of teams in the playoffs. Third quarter, 10 plays, 10 runs, 63 yards and a touchdown. That's imposing your will on your opponent and that's what WE need to be able to do.

If we can get our running game anywhere close to what Tennessee has, even with the current quarterback situation we have now? Oh Lordy Lordy!!!

Miami in the second half of the season was second in first downs per game, trailing only Baltimore.

That’s with no running game and with a terrible OL!

Flores and his staff are going to dominate once the personnel matches their coaching abilities.

If you're more successful on offense, more first downs = more chances to get yardage. So more rushing yards should not equal less passing yards.

I really hope we dont become a team that tries to pound the ball until 3rd down every drive. I cant think of a better way to lose games personally.

I do hope we improve our running game though. It was unacceptable this year.

Next season we'll have Parker, Preston Williams and Gisecki on the field most downs, which makes three huge catch-radius targets to the left, right and up the middle. You can't double team all three so you'll have to play zone, which is going to give our QB of the future a great opportunity to score some points. I'm excited about the next few seasons to see how we fill out the roster!

I hope we address the o-line early. However, I realize that in order for us to play the defense we want to then we will need to address DB/ CB a lot, too - among other needs like LB and Edge. If we can, I would try and trade Harris ( snicker) and Baker to teams that run a 4-3 where they may be a better fit for their base.

Well, we'll have HFA throughout the playoffs, so the snow won't matter.

    I like this haha

Also I want to add that most players in the NFL have to adapt to snow. I'm sure many dont actually LIVE in their community year round but have a place to stay during the season when they have to be around the facilities. Especially in places people would generally not choose to live if they weren't in the NFL.

Anyway, my point is that with Free Agency there is actually very little advantage to playing in the snow.

    1) Players move around too fast from team to team to acclimate to a point where it's a true advantage because of #2

    2) Snow isnt incredibly common during games and likely isnt something you are going to be able to practice in during the first 3 quarters of the year.

I know you're probably kidding but, you may want to tone it down a bit before you draw the attention of the Fan Police and get flagged for "excessive optimism".

You don’t get HFA until you get to the playoffs. You still have to play in winter weather beforehand

The last snow game I remember was the Dallas game which turned out pretty well thanks to Leon Lett. I think we'll do alright.
