That means the MENTORS on this site aren't doing their job... Private Messaging is real simple. Just click on the user's name on the left just above their avatar. (yours is of Einstein), a menu will drop down that inclues Private Messaging or PMing that person. click on that and type away like an e-mail.
I should be a mentor for my shear awesomeness. BTW also go to your User CP at the top of this page and after clicking on that on the left hand menu select "Edit Options" scroll down to where you can see a checkbox that allows you to get a pop-up message every time someone PMs you. This is very helpful and also always work with the User CP as its your biggest freind.
