Speaking of illegal contact, did anyony see R Harrison mug the Giant TE on 3rd down. They dont give that penalty to Patriots
Someone asked earlier what record we would let them break, apparently most receptions, Hoosman (sp) over Welker. Go Phins!
We were. Which is why I think Mueller deserves just a little bit of respect out of Phin fans. We took sixteen games of misery but Wannstedt's cap crushing years are officially over. Now we have to recover by drafting some talent. Mueller appears to have gotten us off to a good start on that too.
I know exactly what play you are talking about but you should know this by now, the refs and the league give the Patriots all the calls.
At least he's not falling down, Jason Allen is doing that job for him If we dont take Dorsey or C Long then we take Jake Long.
They also took a Qb at #1 overall, there has been a long series of bad Qb's taken at #1... Gholston, C. Long are better bets...
That number one pick they spent on the QB is going to set them back for years. I don't know why people are still saying Quinn's name. Ginn is talent. What's Brady? Promise? I'll take the talent with pick number 9.
If a guy like Colt Brennan slips, then you have to think about it. But this team has too many holes (especially on D) to spend a pick on Beck's replacement. I'm not against selecting a QB later in the draft to come in and compete, but we should see what Beck has and try to find a quality vet in FA. I think the main focus should be D, early and often. If a Limas Sweed or Heath Benedict slip, I think you need to grab them, but the focus should be fixing the awful defense. I'm hoping Gholston is a Dolphin come draft day and that we can spend wisely in FA. No quick fixes, just smart acquisitions.
I agree, whatever our problems are, they aren't Mueller's purview, IMO he has done a pretty good job this year, our draft was great, cap room, didn't go crazy in Fa either. He may be gone because he is not a Tuna guy, but he did a good job for us, no complaints from me about Randy Mueller.
I agree Zod. Ginn has shown he has nice hands and all anyone was raving about at the start of the season was his kick returning. Ginn just needs to be on the field IMO and gain some experience. He'll put some lbs on in off-season and he'll burn a few Defensive backs next season.
Chad Johnson will have to pay a fine for his chinstrap. It's suppose to be white. He pays a fine every game for the chinstrap.
mueller only had a VERY limited decision on the QB search. It was more Joe Bailey and Wayne than Mueller
Go one or the other, Oline for me because we do have some weapons and the unit is closer to being NFL caliber, or take a DT and a DE/LB to inject some talent on that front and Olineman later... A Guard, a Tackle a Te, we can be good on "O".
Maybe the Tuna has a press conference after the game and Cameron gets his. Call timeouts on D and not even run a hurry up O.
