Please....you're beginning to disagree simply for the purpose of disagreeing, now. If this trend you're inventing is absolute, what does that say about your Jets and Mangini? He got you to 10-6 his first year; last year he got you to 4-12. This trend you're fabricating would have you possibly going 2-14 this year. Isn't it more accurate to say that every year, most teams are different due to a multitude of factors...FA, coaching changes, the draft. Way too many unknowns to know very much for certain. Even the knowns have a way of surprising at times. By the way people are stating our secondary is "healthy" because they are. Last year they weren't. Last year we were pulling FA safeties off the street because of injuries. If you aren't aware of these things how can you even form an opinion as to how poorly we're going to perform this year?
The thing is the Jets are trying to improve from a similar position. It's not like the Jets were a playoff team last year. Reality is that even though Miami didn't have a healthy secondary last year the Jets were just 3 pts better in NY. The only reason that anybody has higher expectations for the Jets right now is that they had more high profile additions. But the fact is that strategy often fails. The Dolphins are also banking on additions so they are in the same boat. It is simply misplaced arrogance for any Jets' fan to come in and think that they should win this easily. The spread here in Reno is 3 pts. Neither team winning would be a huge surprise.
