From a statistic and wins point of view we plan SUCK, and I am OK with that this year! I was worried about Flores at the start of the season as he really has/had zero experience outside his one year of "coaching" in New England.

That said I am really excited about him as a prospect for 2020 and 2021. The man walked into a team that was on a decade long skid of having any direction.

This team is VOID of talent and has very little depth at key potions and over the last 3 weeks I have seen a team that was a complete embarrassment in all aspects start to buy into the program, show some sparks and gelling for longer periods of games. We do nothave the talent / depth to push a full 60 minutes it seems but were getting 30+ now which is an indication of a team putting the pieces together.

Listen it's going to be ugly for a while, we all knew this and now were 0-7 and regardless of what anyone feels we need to do whatever the coach / GM decide in terms of pulling players and losing etc or this has all been for nothing. Winning 2-3 games now means nothing except that we put ourselves into a bad position once again. I know everyone hates it but you know we need to do it. Call it whatever you want...

Im excited with the draft / free agency for next year. We can instantly go to an 9-7 team next year and 12-4 the next with a good off season and experience under our belt.

Im behind Coach at least for one more year! I also liked his emotion on the sideline. Coach was trying to hold the refs accountable as well :)

I understand losing due to lacking the talent needed to compete. Losing due to bad coaching/play calls is NOT acceptable though. It happened in the Bills game and against the Steelers. Just when Miami is being competitive, with a chance at winning, these horrific calls get made and you have to think, "Once is a fluke, twice is a pattern."

So, I'm all out on a coach who seems to be all in on a tank season.

It’s way too early to evaluate this guy. He’s a rookie coach getting his growing pains during a season that doesn’t matter anyways. Hate to say it but no respected coach is coming to this dumpster fire and we have to take chances on guys with no HC experience.

I like what I’ve seen in terms of players getting coached up beyond their talent level and seeing us be somewhat competitive with a collegiate level team.

Not sure I believe he is in on the scam. He's just not got the talent to play the long game. Hes going to make mistakes. rowing pains give him a year or two man than we pounce!

The team is performing now at the level I imagined we would at the start based on talent.

I really hope Flores gets the can immediately. He looks so incredibly lost in game on the sidelines its embarrassing. Not to mention being out coached at every critical moment so far whether its early or late game.

He reminds me soooo much of Sparano honestly.

the team looks well prepared to start games. My issue is that teams adjust at halftime and our team doesn't look like they do or adjust poorly. It may be a personnel issue. Regardless, I really like this coach.

You can like the guy but not his ability to coach.

I didn't mean to infer that he couldn't coach. I'm just looking at the second half, but there could be a lot of factors. The team looks very prepared early and I do like the x's and o's then. Maybe it's just the lack of running game and just overall depth and there's not much else we can do? I just figure he's learning too.

I think Flores has done a pretty good job overall given what he's had to work with, but I can't help but go back to critical plays that have cost us 3 total wins.

    - The screen pass on the 2-point conversion....they shut down our screens all day long and Drake didn't have any semblance of a block even if he did catch it.

    - The all-out blitz while in zone coverage with 3 defenders....one of them 15 yards off the ball. From a defensive expert, this was unforgivable in my book.

    - The lack of challenging the early TD passes to Preston Williams...I think he got robbed of two. Yet we rectified that by not throwing deep to Williams anymore; I can't follow that logic.

    - Talking up Stills and then trading him two days later...that's not really a Flores thing other than to show he's not on the same page as the front office. Why go to those lengths in front of the media if the guy is leaving the building within 48 hours?

I do believe Flores gets a guaranteed pass this season since he had absolutely no talent in the trenches, and our rookies have been playing ultra tough despite being outclassed. Low penalties too...that's all good stuff that shows a promising young coach. But I don't see how we can judge him either way on what he's actually accomplished since he's at the helm of an 0-7 team.

I get that. However I think it's also a safe bet to say it's lack of execution by our lack of talent that leads to alot of those problems. NE runs those types of plays in the redzone all the time with success. With a head coach from that system along with the OC, why not try what works? You can only make the calls, the players still have to execute them.

I've changed my stance on this one since Monday. If you watch, we ran that look/play several times earlier, and pressured Rudolph into poor throws, rushed decisions etc. etc. When you vacate the middle of the field on D, you're relying on the back end there to come up and make a stop on anything underneath like that. To me, it shows lack of execution again, from a lack of talented play makers.

Yeah, I can't remember the exact play, but I think I do. I think it's maybe slightly understandable they could miss that. First year head coach, first few games, possible they just hadnt really gotten a grasp on their plans/processes just yet.

That's just typical coach speak though. It's not like he's going to trash the player in the media. You're always going to talk up the player, especially if you're trying to trade him. It happens all the time, you can't fault a coach for that. Just part of the business IMO.

I think that's the key to me. We're winless almost halfway through the year with a couple of real ugly blowouts early. We lack talent all over the field. We know it, so do our opponents. The key though, is you can watch this team and see/feel they're getting better at doing what they're asked. Given what's going on with the roster you'd expect bunch of guys out there giving partial effort. I don't think were seeing that. We're seeing a team that's still playing hard, still fired up. I think the start to Monday's game shows that. Hell, last time we were in primetime, with a decent roster we were embarassed each and every time & usually BEFORE halftime. Most of these young players know this is their chance to build a resume on tape and hopefully stick on this team, or get an opportunity next year elsewhere. He's got them believing that, and playing their asses off trying to execute, win, and earn a spot somewhere next year.

I know we're all (myself included) looking at alot of things going on during the games as wow... "TANK!" "We're not trying to win" but I think people really need to keep in mind the severe lack of talent on this roster. When you have that, you're going to get alot of moments of poor execution resulting in plays that will look like a blatant effort to tank/lose. I think we need to remember it's not really an indication of that, or coaching, but it's just a result of not having the talent to compete. The fact that we are somewhat competitive at times, I think is a sign of this staff doing a good job with what they have to work with.

this is the one area Flores has won me over on. He goes into every game with inferior personnel yet is able by scheme and trickery and film study to outplay or at least draw the first half. There is nothing he can do in the second half because whatever surprises he had in the first half are diagnosed and now he had to rely on inferior personnel entirely.

In other words he is very good at gameplanning and that is a very important attribute to have.

Unfortunately for him that is the only positive I have about him so far though it's possible that will change as the season progresses

Looking at the roster minus drake and X, I don’t believe there is a legit starter on a decent team, Parker and Raekwon maybe..

If this team continues to be competitive and fight with backups 1-22 than you have to look at the head coach..

Unfortunately, I have only seen the Monday Night game so I really can't say one way or another. I did like his seemingly aggressive nature and its pretty obvious the team and the planning were ready to go at the start.

    Not enough horses.

    3) OG Chris Lindstrom - Boston College
    4) CB Amani Oruwariye - Penn State
    5) DE Shareef Miller - Penn State
