With Gesicki, Parker, and Williams, we have size. How do we not have a jump ball in the book that gets one of these cats isolated? Williams and Parker run the the sidelines. Gesicki to the post in the back of the end zone. Wilson running short across the goal line. Come on.
Am I the only one that would have been pissed and calling for heads if they actually converted that play. I have been an absolute 100% loyal fan since 1987 at 10 years old and still have yet to see a phin game in person, but seriously anything short of getting number one overall pick is an absolute disaster and waste of a painful season....
i will tell you what you should be pissed at.. if we end up not having the first pick and our dumb front office ends up stacking two of the picks to trade up for the first overall.. And reason why that should make you angry is because there is no one on this draft that should make you think, thats a cant miss prospect. There is no Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck in this draft. Everyone is talking about Tua because he plays for Alabama, the most talked about team in college.. but is he better than Joe Burrow who will also be a Top 10 pick? So lets pray that if we dont have that pick, our front office doesnt do something that could keep us away from a third first round talent.. we will have our top 5 pick and possibly two picks in the top 10.. though stupidass Philip Rivers threw a game away yesterday and made our steelers pick a little worse..
Agreed. I do like the idea of a Lefty and not breaking the bank on a left tackle. If it’s not Tua and we can drop down a few picks in top ten to add more picks and get “the” top talent in the draft then awesome. But ultimately I don’t see us ready to draft a top QB in the draft. Anyone worth tanking for better start week one and I would not start the future of our franchise behind a young rookie non gelled OLine. maybe the play is build the structural components this year and see what Rosen does after a year of learning and behind a blue chip oline. Best case scenario he is serviceable as Darnold and we can have several more draft picks to stack around him in 2021. I feel like he has good character, just not sure on the rest.
If we end up with at least the #2 pick we're fine. Even maybe the 3rd pick. Why? Because at 2 we are guaranteed either Tua or Burrow. At 3, the top two might not take two QB's and even so, maybe not either of those two. So we won't need to trade up. Of course, if the GM is fixated on just one guy, and there's competition for him, well, that's how teams are forced to wheel and deal and 'overpay'. But that's what demand does, it drives up the price, at which point you had better be sure about who your guy is, because you'll need to pay in order to get him. But that's just NFL business. Just don't get the wrong guy.
No-one will remember if we trade our souls for a QB if the QB is good enough, in other words great. I'd trade all our draft picks this year and next for a young Aaron Rodgers for example and feel like a winner.
I will remember it because it will be a mistake of a lifetime. You dont give up all three first round picks for freaking Tua.. hes not Kyler God i hope we get Ozzie im afraid of what Grier and Ross will do. now i wont be opposed of giving all three picks to Houston for Deshaun Watson.
If it's the mistake of a lifetime it wont fit my description though. I'm not overly sold on Tua myself but if he or whoever we draft pans out I guarantee you wont care, even if its Tua. Unless its personal. I dont even blame a team for passing on a QB if he obviously isnt the guy. In hindsight the Raiders should have passed on Russel like the Texans did on Leinart and Young. We will remember any mistake but if it turns out okay, we will all be fine.
Why didn't the Shehacks give the ball to Beast Mode? Hindsights 20/20 but you are still looking out your arsehole. Poopy view even if you are right.
