The line has vastly improved each week....game 1 film couldn't show that. We switched QB's in week 3, so that shook up coverages and schemes....you'd better believe they took Rosen's deep dropped TD passes seriously. We also came out running strong in week 4 and there was no way to predict that either.

To put it simply, we were a different team in week's 1, 2, 3 and 4. Film was only a limited help and we caught the last three teams by surprise due to our growth.

I agree. I mean, we're still bad but not as bad as week 1. Now, if our boys could just put two halves together...

As far as play calling, the whole script is set in stone before kickoff? I know they are not teaching players new plays or techniques at halftime but I thought offensive and defensive coordinators were adjusting their tendencies or play sheets based on injuries and what’s being effective and what isn’t throughout the course of the game.

Typically 20-25 plays are scripted before hand with a partially limited playbook being used in sync to that week's created gameplan. This pre-planning can even sometimes extend well into the 2nd quarter.

Generally speaking, nothing that has not been addressed in the week leading up to the game is used in the game. Tendency breakers, matchup adjustments, etc. are all used in conjunction with the prepared master gameplan.

I think everybody has the right idea but, nobody is saying it.
The halftime adjustments are part of the tanking strategy, see what works in the first half and get away from it in the second half.
Obviously, nobody is sitting down with the players in the locker room and spelling out the strategy.
Let the players think that we're trying to win in the first half and the coaches take the blame for poor halftime adjustments resulting in a loss. They're not sweating it because the boss is in on it so, their jobs are safe. Chalk it up to inexperience and learning on the job.
It's not all that far fetched, at least we should hope it's something like that because if it's not, the coaches really suck at their jobs.

That would take some amazing mastermind work to achieve that every week. I realize the idea is to lose, and we are doing that, but I am more on the side of guys are actually competing their asses off. The talent simply isn't there. For a lot of these guys, this is their only shot at a career in the league. For others it might be their last. Why would they "cool off" from competing in the second half of games when their livelihood is basically on the line? I certainly wouldn't. A lot of these guys wont be here once we start to upgrade our roster. I'd say most of them are using this season to audition for jobs elsewhere. Unless I misread your post, you're making this sound as if it is some manipulative tactic and all these players are under some sort of spell that Brian Flores and his wizard mind has cast upon them.
No....I think we just suck dude. Especially on offense.

If that were the intent, why wouldn’t they also simply gameplan poorly in first halves? Why see what works during that period of time?

Because they still want to develop a team, o-line, Rosen.. We're seeing improvement in the play, it just all comes crashing down in the second half. Hey, it's just a theory, makes the time go by quicker.
