Doesn't matter what you "watched". The stats prove otherwise, at least in the modern game: That right there proves that almost the entire difference in rush percentage between winning and losing teams is point differential in the 4th quarter. So the causal relation is: you rush more when you have a lead late in the game. It is NOT: rush more leads to winning.
You're absolutely right. Have you even bothered to look at what the Ravens have done against us? As I write this... Lamar Jackson 10/11...that's 11 pass plays 18 rushes by the Ravens...and 3 rushes by Jackson on pass plays that he ended up running. That's 18 rushing plays and 14 passing plays. That's balance. Oh and its not the 4th quarter yet...so that theory is shot out of the water.
Well I'm going to take a nap. Enjoy the game boys. If Ravens can hang 70 on us, the Pats might go for 100.
Wake is playing well, but mostly it's Cleveland shooting themselves in the foot over and over and over.
Okay, nothing is going to change in the second half, I've got some peach cobblers to make. I'll cling to the hope that this game is the lowest point of the season and the team will improve as the season goes on.
I see we scored a TD while I was away. I really didnt think we'd get one all year the way things were going. I'm back now though. its 49-10, but I still believe! Believe that we'll give up 60+ that is...
Thats a terrible play by Rosen there. That's not on the pathetic OL, or anything other than Rosen & a nice play by the CB
There's that Rosen INT lol. Well.. it's important to know if Rosen is a franchise QB or not, and I think we'll see we need Tua not Rosen.
I've never been "sold" on any college QB because there's such a high percentage of busts with so-called "can't miss" prospects. I'm content with picking whoever we think is the best QB in 2020. Right now the hype is with Tua and that's fine with me. Only thing that would upset me is if we don't pick a QB with our first pick.
He was getting killed out there, but not sure if he’s actually injured. I think it was just a coaching decision. Rosen is 1-2 with and INT that is about to result in a TD.
I personally wouldn't blame them. If they do though, then it's clear neither is the player we need at QB. We should want a guy who isn't afraid to come to this dumpster fire and turn it around. Problem is, the FO may have gone too far on this tank job. It's likely whomever we draft becomes Luck 2.0. Out of the league in 5 years after being brutally beaten with an awful surrounding cast.
Btw, I thought Jerome Baker was supposed to be highlighted in this system. Haven’t heard his name at all.
Gardner Minshew 17-18, 215 yds, 1 td Led that pathetic offense to 3 scoring drives out of 5. Should have been 4, but Leonard Fournette had his first career fumble to screw up that drive. Pretty good first game for a 6th round pick.
I knew our offense would be bad. I half expected our defense to be solid and keep things somewhat respectable while still losing games. This season is gonna be painful.
Fair enough. If it's still Grier in charge when the draft rolls around and he doesn't pick a QB at first overall... then he should be fired on the spot, in the draft room. I dont trust anyone from that Alabama program really. It's not a case of the QB making players around him better there, it's everyone is so much better on that whole roster than the competition that it's a given they look good. I'm also not a lefty QB fan. Tua though, seems to disappear or not look as good against other top teams. At this point, I have concerns if he's a franchise QB. I think he'll be good, maybe even very good, but I'm not sure that's enough.
Harbaugh is a piece of ****. No reason to go for it there. Karma is a ***** pal. I hope you get yours.
I mean, both the Lions and Browns have gone 0-16. We could match that, but we aren't the only terrible team in NFL history. We will have a shot at a highly ranked QB, we just need to pick the right one. Plus score on some other picks. And to bring it up again ... big year for Flores. I never expected a good record, but I expected the team to play hard, play clean/smart, be competitive, show personnel improvement ... y'know, coaching stuff. This is ... not a great start to that.
I think we should get used to teams running up the score on us like this. The rest of the league is likely ticked off by our blatant tank job that they're going to embarrass us every chance they get.
