well Im guessing Jt made #6 since it has the same font as his sig. And thats the one I picked. Not because I thought it was JT but it has some pop.
all were done in good taste. i had to choose number 4 though. i liked that it included pennington (as he will hopefully be a big part of this season), and i liked the old school grainy look to it.
I liked the layout of 5 better, so I voted for it, however the Schedule part bothered me you can't home from away games at first look you have to really notice the at and vs which with the phins font doesn't jump out

btw L2G i loved yours, only compliant was i did not like the half orange half aqua...i would like to see 2 versions, one fully orange and one fully aqua...
I did make one with a single color background but it was too overwhelming IMO, so I did the half and half. I thought it gave it better contrast. My biggest criticism is that I couldn't get the film strip thing just right. I guess I should have tinkered with that idea more after the last round when I tried to work it in to that poster. btw I hate doing posters, no more posters!
Really? I personally loved it. The two tone colors are what first caught my eye and pulled me in. The technicality and overall softness of the image is what made me vote for it. It also had great placement and I thought it flowed really well.
i liked the two tone as well. it created great separation and allowed you to include ronnie and parcells without it looking like they were randomly placed up there just for the sake of putting them there. who was #4 and #5?

yours was my least favorite. im not a fan of smudgy faded stuff. i do like the pic, and the stadium backdrop. the font pissed me off too. youve got a lot of nerve!!! Ok, so maybe I'm just suffering from playoff envy. But who's gonna be laughing when I have a higher draft pick!!! Muahahaha....wait, what?
Its ok if you didn't like mine. To each his own as they say. I don't understand the font comment...unless you are just being goofy. As for yours, I actually really liked yours. I thought the hologram-ish pictures of the players was really well done. The only thing I might have changed would have been to put Sparano in one of those holograms as well and replace his image with the Phins logo. Just thinking form a poster standpoint, people would probably buy a poster with the logo as the main image than that of a short, fat New Jersey-ite with a funny name. But very well done on your part. edit: And I typically finish dead last in these competitons/leagues/tournaments. I think this is the first time I have advanced in any type of graphic competition. There is a lot of talent on these boards. I wish we could get consistant battles and tournaments going, but alas...
yeah, i was just being silly about the font. The @ symbol is what triggered that. Good idea about not having Sparano in the middle. I showed it to one of my friends and he said something similar. He said I needed a picture of Parcells looking epic. If I were to do it over again, I'd put Parcells, Sparano, and Ireland in the three Holograms on the right, and Long, Henne, and Ricky on the left. Maybe a log in the middle, of maybe something more symbolic of a new beginning. I didnt want to block out my background too much. I wanted to stick with the whole "dawn" theme. That background is rendered from a picture I took of an actual sunrise from 7 miles in the air. I couldnt figure out who did which posters in this round. I knew mine, Jts, and ILphin's. But the other 3, I couldnt tell. It didnt help that one person didnt submitt anything. Sam, I was guessing that l2gs poster was yours. The stuff Ive seen of yours has always been quite colorful and well defined. All of them were good, but l2g hit the nail on the head. I'll be looking forward to the finals. Good luck to all 3 of you! They were all pretty amazing. Well beyond anything my imagination could create. #5 I liked the most. #4 would have won my vote if the font didn't make me queasy
Yea #5 was mine I made the mistake of using the dolphins font to much. Oh well, you win some or like me lost em all lol.
FANTASTIC work. I just now saw this, so I couldn't vote. Glad to see the one I WOULD have voted for won, though.
