Anderson wouldn't take a pay cut which is why he's gone. I think Stacy Andrews is their RT now. He struggled with some false start penalties in the pre-season. I think they just gave him a deal this off-season. We'll see how he does.
I was thinking about possibly bringing Anderson in but if he wasn't going to take a pay cut I doubt he will come as he won't be given much money. Brandon London possibly to Miami? I've never heard of the guy.
Big guy. 6'5, runs a 4.5. Possibly a clone of Vincent Jackson? Had 774 yards on 60 catches his final year at Mass. Caught a couple passes in last years Super Bowl.
I'm going to youtube him. Like you knew a thing about him before you googled him. Edit: Youtubed him and found a whole lot of nothin'
Big pre-season name. Thomas Clayton, RB, got cut by the 49ers. Really shifty back, changes directions quickly and has good speed. I like him a lot.
I think our main interest will be Receivers, o line, and secondary mainly the corner position. Not so much receivers though.
I think they'll look at every spot they can. Improve every part of the roster you can. London from NYG is interesting to me. One guy I wish we could get is Joe Mays. He's the second MLB in Philadelphia. Division II prospect who is everywhere on the field. He makes tackles like crazy. We'll never get him though. He's the 2nd MLB right now.
Ravens The Ravens' cut list is in. Here it is: Adam Bergen (TE, 6-4, 267, 3rd-year, Lehigh) Casey Bramlet (QB, 6-4, 220, 2nd-year, Wyoming) Darrell Campbell (DL, 6-4, 295, 1st-year, Notre Dame) Patrick Carter (WR, 6-3, 195, Rookie, Louisville) Adrien Clarke (G, 6-5, 330, 4th-year, Ohio State) Amon Gordon (DT, 6-2, 305, 4th-year, Stanford) Justin Harper (WR, 6-3, 215, Rookie, Virginia Tech) Alex Haynes (RB, 5-10, 225, 2nd-year, Central Florida) Keith Heinrich (TE, 6-6, 255, 5th-year, Sam Houston State) Adam Kraus (G, 6-6, 295, Rookie, Michigan) Robert McCune (LB, 6-0, 245, 2nd-year, Louisville) Allen Patrick (RB, 6-1, 200, Rookie, Oklahoma) Ronnie Prude (CB, 5-11, 180, 3rd-year, LSU) Joe Reitz (T, 6-7, 270, Rookie, Western Michigan) Chad Slaughter (6-8, 340, 5th-year Alcorn State) Gary Stills (LB, 6-2, 250, 10th-year, West Virginia) Ernie Wheelwright (WR, 6-5, 220, Rookie, Minnesota) Lorenzo Williams (DL, 6-0, 310, Rookie, Missouri) Matt Willis (WR, 5-11, 190, 2nd-year, UCLA)
Warner Officially Named Starter http://blogs.nfl.com/category/news/ WR Lance Long cut by Cardinals. He's a nice player who has impressed this off-season and pre-season. He's quick, has good hands. He's about 5'11, 185 pounds. They're going to try and sneak him on to the PS.
Surprised to see Brandon Moore go. I thought he was going to stick. He was one of the top tacklers for SF a couple years ago.
I guess when his agent called to refute that he was cut..he forgot to mention the whole"suspended" thing
Hate to see McDougal cut, but 5 years and no starts speaks volumes. Not seeing to many players I think would be worth looking at, maybe Josh Bartlett...but we are loaded at safety, we need a tackle who can play all over the line in a pinch.
Dissapointed to see Ahmad Brooks cut. He had incredible potential, all-pro potential. It all went down the drain. I really think this is a bad move for the Bengals. Brooks has stayed out of trouble and should have been the starting MLB for them. They now are going with Dhani Jones in the middle, Brandon Johnson and Keith Rivers on the outside. I think that Dhani Jones would be better outside because Brandon Johnson is no more than a backup. He was acquired via FA from the Cardinals. Overall, disappointed with the move by the Bengals and think it was a mistake. A guy that was expected to be kept in place of Brooks was Jim Maxwell. He was also cut. I have no clue what they are doing but we'll see how this plays out for them. Deltha O'Neal being cut is sad. I believe he has had alcohol troubles which looks like it will have a tremendous (negative) impact on his career after strong play only a couple years ago. Sad to see what has happened with him. Jerome McDougle was a surprise to me when he got cut. Now, looking at the move, it made sense. They got Victor Abiarami coming back after a broken hand I think and I believe he was expected to be the starter opposite of Cole after a strong camp. With Abiarami, they have Chris Clemons who has struggled but still can pressure the QB. Then they have a DE named Smith. I can't recall his first name but I believe they like him after a nice showing in the last pre-season game. As for the Patriots cutting CB's, I don't know how smart of a move that is. They've let go Jason Webster and Fernando Bryant now. They're weak at the spot and need help. Guys that I liked who were cut. DT Dre Moore, RB Thomas Clayton, CB Hank Poteat, WR Brandon London, DB Trae Williams, WR Justin Harper, WR Lance Long, QB Chris Simms, S Josh Barrett, DB Jamar Adams and LB Donnie Spragan. I expect most of those guys to land on the PS.
Ahmad Brooks would make a mighty fine addition at our ILB spot and might alleviate any need to develop a new young ILB to replace Ayodele one day.
I just heard the Patriots cut John Lynch, he was cut by the Broncos a couple weeks ago....he had a really nice career as a d-back and was a good hitter. If we have any injuries to our DB's I would give him a look.
