It doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but perhaps our 2019 offense will feature a lot of three TE sets?

Or else, they're planning on just making Gesicki a big WR, which he basically should be anyways.

What didn't make sense to me was hearing people like Bokamper, on the audible, say last year that he didn't care if Gesicki couldn't block. I realize that Bokamper has forgotten more football than I will ever know, but to me if a TE can't block, then I think the defenses will expose him. I would guess though that if a QB is AWARE of what's going on he could take advantage of those situations, but for what ever reason that didn't happen for us. I heard this morning on the NFL channel that a TE usually doesn't do much their first year, so I still have hope for Gesicki. However, I don't blame us for bringing in a guy who is a proven blocker in the NFL. He could help us a little bit on the field and maybe even help coach up the guys we do have on several different levels since he was a Patriot and is familiar with their system.

Who is this Gesicki fellow you mention? You mean that one dude we drafted in the second round that got a single fourth quarter catch like every other game despite how far we fell behing in games or many recievers dropped like flies last year causing us to sign guys off the street to catch passes? You mean that guy? Dont think ive heard of him.

I have a lot of hope for him, if he's used properly, instead of the exact opposite way that he should have been used.

I agree. I was cursing at the TV all year hoping the would get him more involved. A whole new coaching staff could lend way to a bunch of new opportunities for him. I have faith until they give me a reason to doubt.

Well maybe if the coaches used the damn guy like he should have been used and worked him into the offense he would have been more productive. Im sure the game was a bit fast for him and he didnt do some things well but the guy was a complete stud in the college ranks and I refuse to believe he can't be coached into a GOOD TE in the NFL. I trust nothing the previous coaches did with anyone.
