Cutting McCown or Beck, and what are all the ramifications of those actions ? Are their different ones for each man cut ? One is a 7 year veteran, does he have more rights than a year 2 guy ? Thanks for any insight !

I think cutting Beck would ultimately save us money if you factor in the bonus + the salary? I am not sure without looking. I don't know if it matters though, we have room to play with. Edit: Nevermind, just checked and its McCown by a mile. Looks as though he may have been traded anyways.
we had 16 mill in cap room to play with, so in the end, it's a little drop in the ocean, about a one million dollar hit more than cutting/trading Beck.
Well are we still responsible for the bonus this year ? Has that already been paid or does that start with his paychecks on week one ? Did we get away with not paying anything to McCown or not ?
Yes, We're still on the hook for his signing bonus - $2.5 million. That's already been paid - but for salary cap purposes it was split between this year and next year. Next years portion just accelerated into this years cap I believe.
