If you're right about Durant he definitely won't come here. He comes here, it's his team. He's the man. The good thing is there are a good number of forwards available this offseason. Hopefully we get one

Durant is coming to Ny, just not to your team. He gets KP and Knox and whoever the knicks take in the top 5 in NY. Knicks can also create a 2nd max cap slot if he wants a 2nd star by moving TH JR, Lee and Mudiay (Kanter expires)...

We're a better team, you guys are a better marketing platform. We have a top five GM and in terms of developing players a top five coach. We can also create a 2nd max spot if we get rid of both Carroll and crabbe (one contract expires at end of season, other expires after 2019. Can't remember which is which)

    Melo is a Chicago Bull.

    Faried is a Houston Rocket.

Shoutout to the Bulls for taking both Melo and Michael Carter Williams off our hands for basically nothing.

Well, Bulls are going to cut Melo. My guess is Melo will be a Laker next week. Good luck to him. It just didn't work out in Houston.

Im excited to see Faried play tonight. Im tired of seeing 6'5" PJ Tucker playing center. It's ridiculous that we've even won a game like this.

Fizdale has a championship pedigree so no you dont have a better coach. Kenny Atkinson was a Knicks castoff who is good but hasnt won much.

Additionally, the Knicks are the better team lest we forget KP is worth 15-20 wins as a top 15 player in the league and one of the best rim defenders. No one is running to play with D'Angelo Russell ratting out teammates (ask Nick Young) or Rondae Hollis Jefferson. But Durant did nickname KP the unicorn. Durant has said, he wants to get paid off the court as well...that happens in NYC. And Durants business manager is pushing NYK. Now obviously weve been through this before but even if we only walk out of this offseason with Kemba Walker or Tobias Harris you add that to KP, Knox and a top 5 pick and the Knicks are in business.

Also no one is taking Crabbe or Carroll without getting picks with them. TH Jr is averaging 20 ppg and Lee is the consumate 3 and d guy

Well if you enter Fizdale in the Westminster Dog Show maybe his championship pedigree will come in to play. Until then we have his forgettable tenure in Memphis as a frame of reference.

It's fair to be excited by KP coming back although I see him more as a top 30 rather than a top 15. And that's before the injury. A rehabilitating KP, Knox and a rookie TBD doesn't sound like much of a team. If Durant chooses the Knicks it'll be to be the savior of the Knicks and not to join a championship ready team. That takes some faith in management delivering the needed pieces.

With the Nets he knows He's getting three guards who can knock down thirty any given night (and no one cares what DeAngelo did at 19) Harris and Kurucs to pair with at the forward positions and the Fro protecting the rim. That's a team that can take the East. The Knicks still need a couple of players just to get to that point.

Personally I think Philly is where He'll end up with the Clippers option 2. But who knows. Durant or Anthony Davis is such a nice thought might as well keep it alive

Memphis made the conference finals under Fizdale and was the team no one out west wanted to face. They were 1 piece away when things went wrong. Thats not exactly "forgetable". Marc Gasol just started acting a fool and we all know players run the NBA.

You can believe what you want about KP, but your estimate is way off. Hes a hair below AD at the same stage of their careers. That you think anyone is running to play with Russell and Kurucs is comedy. Krucucs is getting what, 10ppg? The knicks have a star, the nets dont. And possibly a 2nd one with Knox. You arent close at all.

I dont believe Philly has the cap space to add a max deal. KD will either stay put, LAL, or NYK. I dont really see any other team being an option.

If I was a Brooklyn fan I’d be pissed. You’ve been supporting Boston for years by feeding them your top picks, then when you finally get your picks back....you’re a 6th seed! In a franchise altering draft! Lol

To be fair this draft is deep with rotation players. The franchise guys will all be top 5. Its Zion, RJ Barrett, Reddish and maybe you see someone like Nick Alexander (Virginia), Rui Hichumura (Gonzaga) or Keldon Johnson emerge as a top 5 guy. You also have 2 boneheads who could be top 5-7 picks in Kevin Porter and Nassir Little but one is dumb off the court (Porter) and the other is just dumb and cant grasp basic basketball concepts (Little). And Romeo Langford will make a team happy if he comes out.

Alzheimers is a wonderful thing. You get to mash up the past in creative new ways. Fizdale bombed as a coach. He was fired before the halfway point of his second season. It was Hollins who coached the Memphis team that gave everyone a scare.

Its nice you're optimistic KP will return to form from a knee injury. What was it? The 68th injury to his legs since you drafted him? Let's hope it's not Ralph Sampson or Greg Oden redux. It's nice you have him top 15. You're probably the only person in America who has him top 20. Out of curiosity who would you have him better than in the list below

    • LeBron James, Lakers. ...
    • Kevin Durant, Warriors. ...
    • Stephen Curry, Warriors. ...
    • James Harden, Rockets. ...
    • Anthony Davis, Pelicans. ...
    • Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks. ...
    • Russell Westbrook, Thunder. ...
    • Chris Paul, Rockets.
    • Joel Embiid, 76ers
    • Jimmy Butler, Timberwolves
    • Kahwi Leonard, Raptors
    • Ben Simmons, 76ers
    • Kyrie Irving, Celtics
    • Al Horford, Celtics
    • Paul George, Thunder
    • Damien Lilliard, Trail Blazers
    • Klay Thompson, Warriors
    • Karl Anthony Towns, Timberwolves
    • Victor Olapido, Pacers
    • Draymond Green, Warriors
    • Nikola Jokic, Nuggets
    • Jayson Tatum, Celtics
    • Gordon Heyward, Celtics
    • John Wall, WIzards
    • LaMarcus Aldridge, Spurs
All three of our Guards are better than Knox. Kurocs is a rookie who's only playing 20 minutes per game. 10 points in 20 minutes for a rookie is damn good. Why you using him as an example of who people would come play with. He's neutral. People will come because of Atkinson and the program and the fact that we're winning and players are being developed. That and the fact its Brooklyn should make it appealing to quite a number of pros including Durant. Not saying the Knicks don't have a chance. But where you see Unicorns and Rainbows, I see injury prone legs, poor coaching and a bad front office.

I think he’s going to be satisfied with his rings and want to go back to being “the guy” on his team. I don’t think we’re anywhere near favorites to land him, but I don’t know wtf the heat are doing treadmilling other than planning on going all in next year in FA. Maybe showcasing our guys for trades.

    There really isnt a plan.

Assuming we do nothing leading up to the trade deadline which i think its leaning hard in that direction...

Dragic, Tyler and Whiteside are going to opt in. That’s 66 million in expirings. Followed by another 41 million in expirings before the 2020 season.

The only player we have worth giving an extension to after this season is Bam. Everything else should be a cleanslate because we dont have the players that will ultimately lead us to championships. We got to start from the bottom again, and we have to be smarter on how we invest our salary cap.

So if you were redrafting the NBA right now you really think most of those players are going before KP? Thats funny. I may be suffering from alzheimers but you just dont know what youre watching or just really hate/are jealous of KP. You act like KPs had a bunch of serious injuries. He hasnt. He had 1 and a bunch of minor injuries. Hes a massive difference maker.

Knox and KP are better then anyone on the Nets roster. No one who has watched either team would take anyone on the Nets over Knox and KP just based on potential alone. Knox is a rookie who has shown flashes of the scorer hes going to be. His efficiency and stamina need to be better but hes the 3rd youngest player in the league. He starts games like wildfire.

Im not going to sit here and say the Knicks have a great FO. They dont. Dolan opens the wallet and hes stepped away some from the basketball operations but hiring the right people is an issue. But Fizdale is a good coach imo and the players play for him. As is Atkinson. And while the Nets are doing some nice things this year, its not helping them long term.

The reason I mentioned Kurucs is because you did. That would be like me mentioning Mitchell Robinson leading the league in blocks/48

This is an obvious orchestration by Rich Paul to get him to LA, but I'd hope that Riley would be willing to go all in on AD. I don't know if the Pelicans would be interested in a Richardson/Winslow/Bam/1st package, but I think that's better than what the Lakers could give. Even if that happened, it would be hard to sell AD on staying without any of those guys around him. You'd have a year and a half to sell him on your plan, though.

I think youre right, unfortunately. Lebron having his best friend become an agent was a genius move. Its almost as if he is their agent lol.

Im pretty sure NO is not going to trade him to LA. I really hope Riley does whatever the hell it takes to get him and build around him. Well have whiteside and TJ off the books next year which would give us 1 year of AD plus whoever else we can sign before AD becomes a free agent.

    RIP gardenhead. sorry bro.

AD is amazing player but i hope the Knicks stay far away from the stupidity suggested by the Ny Post and Bleacher Report. I have no interest in moving Knox, multiple 1sts, Ntilikina and THJR. Knicks just need to stay the course, move Lee, Kanter, Burke and TH JR for picks, maybe Mudiay too.

I’m not mad at AD. Our ownership situation has been terrible. Our owner died and only cared about the Saints anyway.

AD gave this franchise every chance to surround him with talent and failed. Yes, they got Jrue. Yes, they took a chance on Boogie, and things would be different if he never got injured. But bottom line this team failed and had no real plan moving forward to improve the team.

I’m thankful that he made the announcement now so that we don’t trade assets for a player to help AD. We’re rebuilding now. At least we have a direction.

My ideal plan moving forward: trade Julius Randle and Nico Mirotic now for whatever you can get and then trade AD over the summer when the Celtics can drive up the bidding.

And by the way, AD is really that good and I will miss seeing him play in person. Selfishly, this sucks cause I’m gonna miss him. But this team had zero plan moving forward so we’d end up like the Miami Dolphins. Running in place.

I empathize with your situation. 1 thing i always hated about the nba though is that players control the league. Id probably go even harder to try and win now if a player who helped me do that came available knowing i have a year and a half to win a ring around AD. Your chances of drafting or acquiring another top 10 player are slim so you may as well go all in and get it done or die trying. He will always have some value so if you tried for the next year and dealt him at next years deadline youd probably get a similar package. The pels should go hard after a sign and trade in the offseason to try and get more talent around him. Or even go after a short term fix like TH JR who can help with the scoring load but isnt a super long term cap killer

Enjoy it. I have no excuses. We've lost to so many scrubs this season that I've become numb to it. This may be worse than the loss to the Cavs.

Im trying really hard not to go off on Chris Paul. This dude is an absolute disaster this year. He may not even be the 5th best player on this team.
