If NE reaches 17-0 have they equaled the Fins without winning the SB? Thought I'd pose a question for all of you that are disgusted about the Patriots making it this far (like myself)...If New England wins it's first playoff game, technically tying the Fins at 17-0 do you feel they have matched our accomplishment in terms of strictly numbers? Or do you think that in order to join our company they will have to go out the full 19-0? It could be debated that playoff games, in terms of difficulty could be the equivelant of the Super Bowl, which if that was the case would put them only a win from being in our position. I personally feel "undefeated" means going all the way and leaving with the Lombardi trophy in your possesion but maybe thats just me?
it's close, they had a very easy division, but beat Indy, Dallas and Pittsburgh on the way, which I think are the #2-4 teams in the league right now. Now they'll probably have to beat at least two of those teams twice to win the Super Bowl. like I said, it's close, but you can't really call yourself the best team of all time without winning the Super Bowl, because that would mean you weren't the best team of the year
Miami also had a disadvantage in 72, that the Pats will not have, Miami finished with the best record that year, yet they had to play all thier games away, so unlike how it fell for the Phis, the Pats will have an easier time of it with Home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
In 72 we did it without Griese for most of the year.Do you think the Pats could do without Brady for most of the year?
it doesnt matter what ur record is if u loss in the playoffs the 16-0 or even if they go 18-0 and loss the super bowl it means absolutly Nothing
Have to win them all. The 85' Bears are not equal to the 72' Dolphins and they won 18 games in the regular season. Have to go 19-0 to even be compared to the undefeated Dolphins.
