I mean, there is argument for Tannehill and the blocking, but sometimes, just sometimes, the QB has to overcome some of those deficiencies, and I don’t know that Tannehill has that escapability.
There are just tooooo many variables that are wrong, that’s why ultimately I blame coaching and scheme. I would not be shocked if tannehill thrives elsewhere nor would I be shocked if he sucks. It’s so hard to tell anything with this team because ALL of it is bad.
We all know Tanny has no instinct for 'making plays'. He will stand back there and try to carry out the play as called. Behind a dominant OL, that would work, but I'd prefer a guy that can create when things break down.
Tannehill should have noticed that matchup and pulled the rb over to help. Or something? Or maybe he isnt accountable for anything? Just throw the ball?
He doesn't. For Tannehill to succeed somewhere he would need a top 5 OL in the league, which is extremely hard to build and sustain throughout the season. Thought Tannehill would eventually put it all together since he was slowly whittling away at his deficiencies one by one, but with all the injuries the last couple season he seems to have regressed... add that to an injury-riddled team and poor coaching, and you get nowhere. Time to move on.
I hear ya, but do we have one TE on our team that can block Hughes? What about bringing in a lineman?
He used to be good at making off-script plays his first couple of seasons in the league, I have no idea what happened.
Parker really half assed that route. Had him beat on the hitch, but then slowed up. I can see why RT threw it, there was separation there, but he was late, and Parker gave up, and well, isn't that good to begin with. That's a shot a good QB, and WR should hook up on though. It was there if he was earlier.
3rd and 4... designed dump off short of the first down. we really dont trust our guys to make plays. Or maybe you could say we do to a fault. Ballage is proving to be a nice addition IMO
A QB who isn't holding back your offense sticks that throw to Gesicki. He was open by NFL standards, there was room, RT missed him.
Kenyan Drake can be a special player if given the opportunity. Not sure he has the durability though to last the season with that much use.
Second time they have started at mid-field, you'd expect success with that field position. They need a TD here to get back in the game.
