Bortles provided a spark? Are these guys serious? Tannehill provided them the spark, and the ballgame.
Good. Boo them off the field. Good on the fans for that. They paid their cash to support this team who once again fell flat on their faces trying to get out of their own way.
As someone who was borderline, I think its justified to make changes whether its clearing house entirely or not.
I hope so. Start at Tannenbaum, work down the list... Don't stop until they've passed RT. Colts about to take the lead. So even if we'd won today, it wouldn't really have mattered.
Miami's playoff chances were slim at best going into today with Baltimore and Tennessee winning yesterday, but to come out like this at home against a really bad team there is no excuse. After they get embarrassed at Buffalo next weekend, that's it, this regime is over.
I think at one time Key said he thought Tannehill was a tease. I have been hoping he would turn the corner, but I think I have seen enough. Tannehill is a tease and a coach killer. I hope we are able to upgrade next year!
Seven points. Really. Seven points against Jacksonville. Get the broom out for a clean sweep obviously no one was concerned about a job.
I was one of the die hards that was on the fence with Gase and Tannehill. Now? I'm officially done. I get the whole injury thing but these guys are extremely undisciplined and not prepared. The search for a new HC is on AGAIN. Our next QB? Your guess is as good as mine.
QB is going to be nearly impossible. You can draft Lock and sign Bridgewater and even then I'm not sure it's an upgrade. So much so I think you have to double down on both to have any real chance of success.
If they would have kept the camera rolling we would have seen Tannenbaum ask excitedly, " Who wants a hotdog?!"
http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profiles/teddy-bridgewater?id=2543465 I know things have changed for Bridgewater since he has come into the league, but after reading his draft profile, I would be willing to give him a chance. Tannehill probably has the edge with arm strength and accuracy, but Bridgewater seems to posses the intangibles, like football IQ, that Tannehill lacks.
After the miracle win versus the Pats, I thought Gase/Tanny in 2019 was a DONE deal. Now, and with another miserable loss at Buffalo next week? I think Ross may actually make changes.
MUCH easier for Ross to announce Gase is back for 2019 after a Miami win. Awkward to announce it after a terrible loss where the team looked incompetent on both sides of the football.
If we win next week (and we should....just like we SHOULD HAVE blown Jax out today), then maybe Gase talks his way into another year. I have a sneaking suspicion that he's fired tomorrow though.....or maybe he's already fired and we haven't heard about it yet. I wouldn't be shocked to learn that Ross already told him he had one more game to coach and then he's gone.
It would be out of character for Ross to fire a coach in the offseason. If Gase is still here for the Buffalo game he will be here for the first half of next season as well.
