I expect the Dolphins will get some attention this week. I'll dump highlight/review material here. Feel free to add/discuss...
I haven't watched any of these post game analysis or heard any commentary but know the media in the NFL like I do, I'm confidently able to state the following... First off, little credit is being given to the Dolphins and their design/execution of "Boise"...it's more of how the Patriots were caught off guard, the Patriots this....the Patriots that...Tom Brady this, Tom Brady that, yada yada yada... Secondly, had the situations been reversed and it was the Patriots that stunned the Dolphins with a hook and lateral play that won them the game, all of these analysts would be all over the Patriots' jock straps, "this is why they are a championship team", "Tom Brady does it again", yada yada yada but yet when the Dolphins pull this type of play... "It's a miracle!!!" as if the Dolphins needed divine intervention and couldn't do it on their own, so it has to be a miracle.
Pretty much. Nice to see the Pats rather sad. Watch Tannehill's response when you can. "We had them right where we wanted them..." And then, when he saw Gronk was on the field, "We got this..." Also Drake - check it here - https://ftw.usatoday.com/2018/12/ke...cribes-dolphins-patriots-miracle-td-video-nfl "Drake said: “It was me and Gronk, and I couldn’t let Gronk tackle me in that situation … Look sorry Gronk. He’s a great player, but I got somewhere to be.”" The full versions are worth listening to.
Mangini commenting during 'First Things First' states that there is no way the Patriots had not practised for that scenario. EDIT:
