This game was more like a 28-24 type game not a 31-12 type game. If you guys convert All of those 5 red zone trips into Touchdowns this is a different game. We also got lucky with the missed overthrown TD pass by Osweiler. The pick in the 3rd quarter changed the whole momentum of the game. We didn't play well at all. You guys held us on D to 24 points, not counting the turnover we got deep in our territory. I hope your cornerback is ok. I didn't like the hit and I hope you guys don't have any hard feelings toward us over it. I know the Packers medical staff checked on him too. I hope all your players get healthy and you go 11-5. Another cool fact is us 2 are the only teams that aren't above or below .500. You see we're both in Good company. You still own us 10-5 in the season series. I have to come to Miami for a game sometime. Maybe I can tailgate with you guys.
Osweiler simply sucks. The "IF" we convert all those 5 red zone trips is so unrealistic you can't really think that way. So from that point of view it really was a 31-12 type game because we didn't have the ability to score a TD, even after good special teams plays (turnovers). I do agree GB didn't play that well either. Just goes to show how bad the Dolphins offense is.
The Dolphins are a good team. The year we won the Super Bowl you beat us in Lambeau. In 2014 the year we went to the NFC Championship game and lost to Seattle it took a game winning TD with 3 seconds left to win. You guys always give us a hard time. You lead the all time series by a lot.
We're at best a mediocre team. You're talking about past accomplishments. Yes we lead the all-time series by a lot, but look at it: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/game_query.cgi?tm1=mia&tm2=gnb&yr=all 8 straight wins for the Dolphins during Shula's reign, first with one of the best NFL teams ever (the one we had early 70's) then with Marino. OK.. now look at more recent history. We are 2-5 against GB since 1997. So yeah.. Dolphins USED to be a good team, but we've been mediocre for a long time.
Injuries have crippled us two years in a row- it's ridiculous how many 3rd stringers we had to play. Heck, the guy who recovered the blocked punt and the punt/fumble was a practice squad player.....and he was playing at WR in the 2nd half. He was around our WR9 or 10 when the season started? But he was WR3 yesterday. The biggest thing was our offensive line with four 2nd stringers starting- you guys turned up the pressure in the 4th and we just crumbled. I'm honestly not sure why GB didn't do that all game. Most of us knew we had almost zero chance of winning.....I was surprised we were still in it at halftime.
