That's a good point about the Bears not preparing for Brock. At the same time, it says a lot about the quality of our starter when the back up can jump in cold and the performance is equal or even better. I don't believe we win this game with Tanny even if he was healthy.

Yeah let Brock have some more reps with the first team and he could do better than he did today. But he was very serviceable today. I'm on the BOssweiler bandwagon.

I thought he showed his knowledge of the offense, and Gase called a much simpler game with the offensive line actually blocking people up the middle.

He looked like a veteran back up out there. A natural leader? That is just nuts.

Without a feel for how he looked, I really can't tell. Knowing Gase, RT will still be the starter. However, I would like it if RT was held more accountable. He has played better when the HC doubts him and since we know we can win with BO if RT ****s the bed during a game, pull his ***.

Maybe I’m wording this incorrectly: he looks more of a natural leader than Tannehill, and I am simply going by today’s game. I know he’s been pretty horrible in the past. I’ve seen his games.

Today, just today, he looked like a natural leader.

    Per Adam Beasley:

Osweiler told this to Drake as Parkey was lining up to kick: “I know Chicago is going to miss the field goal. I need you to play with the swagger and confidence you have all day. He said OK.”

This is how a leader handles a team.

I agree, he looked like a vet who had a dummied down offense in which the O-line actually did it’s job against a very tough D. But Osweiler had control, and the guys seemed to rally around him. That happens....naturally.

We can simply agree to disagree.

He played with a lot of poise today....he looked really confident in the pocket and moved around well. Most of his passes were dead-on accurate though- a few of the throws to Amendola and Stills were timing routes that had very small windows (the 2-pt conversion in particular was incredible). Also, the TD passes to Wilson weren't screens or pre-defined throws....both times he scanned the field then came back to Wilson. On one of those throws, he was way outside the pocket extending the play.

Now, I won't say he looked like the reincarnation of Marino, but Brock had a very solid day and showed tons of passion on and off the field. One of his picks was from locking eyes on the receiver and 100% a bone-headed move, but he mostly made up for it with solid veteran play. The other pick was a bomb to the end zone as the half came to an end...it was a short-thrown 50/50 ball that Parker didn't make an effort on (the TV announcers even said Parker messed up by giving up field position). However, if Osweiler threw it 3 yards longer then it was an easy TD since Parker had his man beat....so it's at least half Brock's fault.

I am in favor of him starting next week if that tells you anything.

I think some of you are over reacting to a win today. Brock's numbers weren't all that pretty, they were very Tannehill like right up until the point where Albert Wilson took 2 yard passes for HUGE gains.

Here's the difference for me in the stats-

    1) 21 total 1st downs (15 pass/6 run).....last week was 15 total (12/3)
    2) 8/17 on 3rd down.....last week was 2/11
    3) 36:35 time of possession.....last week was 29:25

I realize that a lot of those stats fall to much better offensive line play, but 3rd down conversions have been major problems this season...we were like 30% better there alone. It's also the first time we won time of possession all year long. Brock's numbers weren't especially impressive but it's clear the team played better overall. Of course, let's not forget the most important stat- 31 points.

Outstanding come from behind win today! Didn't know Brock had the stones. A.Wilson is looking like he belongs on the list of our best ever offensive FA pickups like the two Keiths(Jackson & Byars) and C.Pennington. Any other NFL Safety playing better than Reshad? Pro Bowl for Kiko?

I can't believe i noticed McMillon make some plays today! And yes Kiko has been playing 90% better when he actually has some help!
