Yeah, we always eat before we go. We only go to a huge IMAX theatre for any of these movies. Because it's in a furniture store, they charge less for tickets, concessions are cheaper too. So, cheaper and WAY better movie experience. I only go to the standard theatres for the rare non-action movie with my wife or kids movie with my kids.

and agree on your points in your spoiler. My teenager was devastated at the thought that Loki/Tom Hiddleston won't be coming back. her favorite character

Gunn said that a while go. It's pretty cool that he added that small detail in.

Gunn's a cool guy. One of the very few celebs I follow on social media.

Also, regarding the greater MCU, Agents of Shield has not yet been cancelled after the first wave of cuts from ABC!

I caught up with Agents of Shield and finished the season. Very happy with the season overall, but felt that the last two episodes kinda fizzled more than they should have. I think that its probably because they didn't know if the series was going to be renewed or not, and had to end it in a way that would be acceptable for both, which they did. I did like that they referenced Infinity War in some broad ways toward the end of the year, and fit that into their own storyline a little. I had been wondering how and if they were going to reconcile their own stuff with what's happening in the films, and they made it work. Looking forward to the next season taking place after the next Avengers movie, and hoping that they pick up where it leaves off and run with it, filling in some blanks.

that could be a great franchise if they do it right. would be pretty interesting to have a franchise based on Jack Kirby, while at same time DC pushes forward with the other Jack Kirby creation - Darkseid in Justice League.

Have to say as a fan of marvel canon I don’t see how you sell this to the masses..it’s stretching even my considerable insight..it’s a lot of information to try and convey in a 2/3 hour movie. If they can pull it off and make money kudos to them it would certainly push the limits of current CGI.

Very much looking forward to Venom. That series needed a dark type of movie instead of fueling graphics.

This may be the best Marvel movie ever made.

I have honestly stopped paying attention to the Sony movies alltogether, aside from the new Spiderman himself because he's part of the MCU. I'm even paying more attention to DC than I am to those guys.

I was excited because that would most likely mean that Jared Leto will no longer be the Joker.

The Sony animated Spider-Man movie looks great. I am very excited about that.

Venom without Spider-Man is just confusing.

can't agree with that sentiment. While he wasn't Heath Ledger, I did like him in Suicide Squad.

I enjoyed Ant Man & The Wasp. It was a really good continuation of the story from the first movie, with proper references to what had happened in the time in between. Filled in all the blanks and didn't leave me feeling like there were plotholes. If you enjoyed the first one, I think that you'll like this one as well. And honestly, people don't even really even need to be that familiar with the MCU to have fun with it.

I enjoyed it as well. I thought the villains were meh, but the supporting characters were great.

bummer. eventually someone has to be brave enough to tackle Galactus again. maybe it's too complicated with FFour still not being in Marvel umbrella.

Not yet, but Comcast looks to be abandoning their pursuit of FOX's assets, to Disney looks to be in the clear. Eventually, Marvel should be able to do virtually anything that they want.

I've honestly basically given up on everything FOX is creating. Marvel/Disney will likely start over from scratch, and what's been made will be invalid.

No. Everything that I've read classifies it as a horror movie, and thats absolutely not my thing.

Does kind of put down the notion that they are going to be doing more solo type movies. Going to stick to what has worked.

I hope this leads to a Ms. Marvel movie.

I think that after some of the current characters move on, they'll go with a few more solo ones. Probably a few more origin stories along the way. Plus, we know that there's a Black Widow movie in production, there's the next Spiderman, there's almost certainly a second Black Panther, there's very likely a Doctor Strange, and then they've set the stage for other characters to be introduced and branch out from all of that. MCU forever!

    https://geektyrant.com/news/the-exa...has-been-revealed-what-were-you-doing-in-1995

Captain Marvel is set in 1995. For me, that's the year I graduated high school and started college, the year I turned 18, got my first job, and lived anywhere except my hometown for the first time. Also of course the final year of Don Shula's long career. So, a pretty easy to remember specific year for me.

I've been pining for more 90s nostalgia for a long time in movie form, and this should be pretty awesome

RIP Stan Lee, who passed away today at age 95. He lived a long life doing what he loved. Along with others, he was part of a team that created so many of the characters at Marvel that we love and have become a huge part of the MCU.
