We need to take care of Xavien’s contract before he becomes too expensive... dont let what happened with landry, repeat itself.
hey chicken little the sky isn't falling....they won and are 3-0.....common man let up a little and enjoy it......
Welcome Back Kotter. I see a coach like Philbin, and see Gase, we are 0-3 with Philbin, where with Gase 3-0. Tannehill is 11-1 in last 12 games.
Let me get this straight? You're saying that one of the four undefeated coaches in the NFL deserves to be fired? You're a pretty tough critic...have a little faith my friend. =)
what a game! Wow! As frustrating it was to have those horrible penalties against us, the injuries (which we hope will be not much) This team fought hard til the end and did not give up! Let's face it, This almost looked like and could have been the dolphins from the past 20 years but nope! 3-0! Life is great!!
I admit they are winning their games...however I just want them to look a little bit better doing it!
If you read my review of the game, I plainly state that the Raiders kicked our asses today. But they weren't the better team because of it; we just have too many home run type players who only need one touch to change everything.
I agree. Besides Spence's "Landry-like moment" that could have cost us the game, this is a very disciplined team that plays four quarters of football. Only good things come from that type of attitude.
Yeah, the wheels could have feel off a few times this game. Especially when we go 3 and out first drive on the 2nd half, and they score, and we are down 10.
The thing for me is for 3 quarters, except for a pass or 2, the offense looked like total dog ****. They came alive late when Grant and Wilson made some big plays, which were no gimmes. I understand no one calls every play perfect, but our offense feels like they are in quick sand most of the time. On one hand Gase disappoints me because I think we should be better than that, and the other he surprises me. I am not sure if my expectations are too high and I am unrealistic or if I should be the opposite and just barely give a ****, if at all.
I'd go with this option until we start losing games as a result of not playing well for long stretches of the game.
I agree with you, but I think it makes it all the more impressive that we managed to put up 28 points over the course of the game despite playing poorly. Makes you wonder what we could do over 4 quarters if things went our way.
I do see your point. The Raiders came out today to stop Miami’s run and despite succeeding at this, Miami still was able to gut them with their passing attack. This tells me that Miami was outplanned by Gruden. I credit Gase for adjusting but it would be nice if he would come out and just dominate a team.
Fans have wanted this team to win for a long time. Now they're winning and it's not enough, they have to dominate. You people are funny.
I think people are so hurt from the past and are afraid to be happy. I am taking it week by week, and so far, I’m enjoying the first 3 weeks!
The defense got the team in a hole to start the game. I mean they gave up 140 yards to one WR in the first two series. However, they tightened up and held the Raiders to 17 points. Well, 20 including the garbage time FG. The defense also has some players get hurt and ejected on a stupid penalty. To top it off, the refs had at least 2 of the worst calls I've ever seen. RT played awesome. He missed one throw that would have been a TD, but he was awesome. Even though his stats benefitted from two really well COACHED and PLAYED shovel passes for TD's. Gase- A Burke- B (only because he adjusted) RT- A OL- C RB- C WR- A DL- B LB- C DB's- C (Missed Jones badly and Minkah had some growing pains)
Reading through the posts from the first 30 minutes of the game is golden. It's as if some here are ROOTING for the Dolphins to lose just so they can come in here and win some imaginary game of "I told you so".
You're right. And today Gesicki got in the act. But the Phins have 3 WRs with world class speed. Speed kills. And it destroyed a well prepared Raiders team.
OL really only a C? Felt like they did very well in pass blocking. There were some plays Tannehill had ALL DAY to throw, not just time, but literally all day.
Like I said in another thread, we put up 28 points in about 4 minutes total on four big plays. The league average in scoring is around 26 per game....and we needed 4 minutes to top that. So while I understand your frustration, this is a glass half full/half empty type of scenario. When the offense does fully click, we could comfortably put up 50 a game with one of the best defenses around. That's like "Best Team Ever?" conversations if we get there. However, I don't think we'll get there fully. Gase is going to play smart and take what's working. He's not going to attack the field until we have to, and then he's going to settle right back down when he doesn't. One thing nobody mentioned today was our 13th man....the S Florida sun. That definitely played a factor in Wilson's TD and X's interception as well. We were the fresher team in the waning minutes.
Yes, if it was just pass blocking I'd give them an A. But their run blocking was bad. So a C overall, IMO.
If you watch the last Wilson TD, he was steadily putting distance on the defenders chasing him.....and then here comes Grant blazing up to him from the other side of the field. And I'm thinking, did that just really happen? Did that tiny little short dude just outrun the guy on our team that nobody else can catch? You're darn right speed kills!
Before or after you called for Gase to be fired, the team to be gutted, and a complete start over? lol

To be fair I've never seen any fan base complain about the refs more than the Patriots, so it's not true that only bad teams complain.
