I was reading an article about Miami not saying Reshad Jones.
So I thought how many Superbowls Miami needed to win for him to make the Hall of Fame.

It would probably take 3 with him being MVP of one of them or being Defensive player of the year

HOF voting is always difficult to get a great handle on. They aren't as bad about holding individuals to high team standards as they once were, but its still far worse than it should be.

With defensive players, they get in if they fall either into the category of being at the very top of the stat lists, or else were hugely popular while they played. Guys who don't fall into one or the other have a really hard time, and safety is probably the hardest position of all to do it, excluding special teams.

Jones would have to play a number of years still, beyond the eight that he already has (I would say at least 13), and continue to be highly productive each season. And then, he would have to have strong advocates in the room during the selection process. Should all of that happen, he would have a chance at getting in after he'd been on the ballot for a while, perhaps.

His numbers are good, but not eye popping. He's a guy who will be on the Fins honor roll, but given his lack of exposure nationally, will likely never be considered for the Hall. Except for touchdowns, the numbers that Brian Dawkins put up all dwarf what Jones has done, and he's the only safety to get elected in quite a while.

These things are all being held against Zach Thomas, who should be a shoo in. And he's got 10x the chance that Jones does.

For Reshad Jones to make the HOF he would need to be an All Pro 4-5 good times on top of a SB win. Maybe a signature play in the SB like a INT for a TD. Or maybe 2-3 All Pro selections with a DPOY award. As of now he doesn't have the accolades, the stats, or the SB's, and I don't think just winning a couple SB's will be enough for him since he doest have the accolades or stats.

Safety is a position where it is very tough to make the HoF. As others have said he needs monumental achievements like DPOY, setting an interception record on top of multiple good performances in SBs
