Enlightenment: In order to pull a 3 way you have to have game and some looks. Hence your failure :001_rolleyes:

I think this is basically where the argument ends.

Jordan, Kobe.....they couldn't have this team in the finals by any means.

In this eastern conference? You do realize MJ beat 20+ 50 win teams in the playoffs to Lebrons 12 (that includes this year) in fewer playoff appearances.

Everyone not named Jason Tatum broke the backboard tonight.

And yeah I will take Tatums future over klay Thompson’s career any day.

Boston got a gutter ball game from terry rozier

Are we pretending Jordan didn't have HOF players like Pippen and Rodman? Horace Grant, Paxson....

You cant name a player on the Cavs other than the GOAT that would've even broke that 7-8 man rotation in Chicago.

I like Tatum, but Klay’s defense is what sets them apart.

    For now.

And LeFail would have 1 ring if he didnt prearrange to play with Wade and Bosh.

And Boobie Gibson was better then Paxson/Kerr. Love is better then Horace Grant was. Kyrie was better then BJ Armstrong, Kerr, Paxson Harper. So i just gave you 3 in less then a minute

I'd say Klay is a bit better offensively. Along with defense, Klay is a better offensive player right now due to his elite shooting and off-ball movement. Tatum projects to have more weapons in his arsenal long-term (off-the-dribble, post-ups, dunks) but you make it seem like he's right there with a former All-NBA third team player.

I stated MJ couldn’t of taken THIS team to the finals, which is what I thought you were arguing.

  18. CaribPhin

    CaribPhin Guest

Kerr was an elite 3-point shooter. That alone is better than Gibson. LeBron played with Kyrie for two seasons and went 1-1 with him in Finals appearances (Kyrie only played 1 game in 2015). Not to mention in 2015 Love was out well before the Finals. Be fair man. GSW would probably have lost in 2017 if they were relying on Harrison Barnes again rather than Kevin Durant.

MJ could have taken this and ANY of Lebrons teams to the finals in the East during those years. Hell those old Knicks or Pacers or Heat teams would have walked thru this eastern conference

Gibson was a similar player to Kerr, low volume, good percentage 3 point shooter. Completely forgot about Mo Williams who was better then any PG MJ ever player with. The length of time doesn’t matter at all...MJ only played with Rodman 3 seasons...yet 3 rings. I could also make a good argument that Verajao or Ilgauskas were better then Grant. The fact is Lebron hasn’t had competition most year in the East and when he did, Boston was the only one and they beat him....as they would have this year had they had their starting backcourt. The weak competition isn’t Lebrons fault but it does put an asterisk next to his accomplishment imo and it damn sure doesn’t make him the GOAT

Lol at the notion that MJ couldnt take any of lebrons team to the finals.. have you been following the East the last, 14 years? The west has been dominating the east, up until the finals.

There is a reason why the top 4 teams in the west would be favored to win against the cavs. Hell if the finals were New Orleans vs Cleveland id pick NO to win.

    No real evidence of that.

Reason why? Jordan never had a supporting cast this bad.

Remember the year he retired? 55+ wins and nearly a finals appearance.

Wanna guess where this Cavs team will be without him next year??

No real evidence he couldn’t. He played in a stronger conference and beat better teams. I don’t see why that would prohibit him for beating a weakened Celtics team or an overrated Raptors team when he would have just locked up DeRozan with all his DPOY awards.

And you’re wrong, Jordan played with a worse roster then Lebron ever did..check out this disaster: https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/WAS/2002.html

    Sigh.

I said he couldn’t of taken THIS TEAM to the finals.

LeBron does more on the court to help his team than MJ is built to do.

This Cavs team (2018 Cavs for clarity) needed every rebound assist and block they got from LBJ to get there.

Jordan was a better scorer, Jordan was a soul snatcher. But he isn’t the all around player the Cavs needed.

I really dont why Lebron fans feel the need to compare him to MJ. Hes got more finals losses then MJ, Kobe and Duncan combined. Great player, just not at that level. What a joke.

No, i just proved my point. Jordan in his age 37 season took some junk *** roster where only Jordan would have started on this years Cavs team to the playoffs. And you stated MJ never played with a roster so bad.

Just seeing the ECF game 7 and it's such horrible basketball. Poor shot selection, little ball movement; just ugly and dumb basketball.

    Urgh.

    Key words being...”for now”

Tatums already better off the dribble. He will finish more off it as he gets stronger.

This game has just surpassed Lakers-Kings as the biggest screw job in history...lol.

Reggie Miller and Chris Webber are going nuts commentating this. I am glad they are calling this b.s. out. Its been so many bad calls, I've lost count.

I wonder if the same idiots who always said "Only reason Lebron came back from 3-1, is because Draymond Green missed game 6" will downplay the Rockets being up 3-2 until they lost their second best player.

I'm guessing that will slip their minds.

See, this is what sucks about the salary cap crappy NBA. I don’t know if it was always this way, but now? If your star goes out you are done. That is the rockets.

Well, going 7-44 on threes didn’t help either.
