Ok, since my prediction on Minkah turned out to be correct, why not stick with the second pick, Darius Leonard.

Ideally, we would move down, maybe get a 4th, and still be able to get him. Its rich to pick him at 42, but we MUST come away with a LB with the ability to lay the smack down at SAM. (How great would it have been to have Roquan, to pair with Raekwon?)

Maybe they're in love with one of the TEs here...I just think this is the time to get a LB. Its going to be a young unit, we know this--and we have to be willing to accept growing pains. I have absolutely zero way of knowing how much capacity Leonard, or any other player, has to learn and grow.

But if you watch him on film, he reminds me of Bobby Wagner, who was also a second rounder. He's a thumper. He plays big (6'2, around 240) and he's physical.

He'd be a bit of reach, but SAM Backer is now the biggest need on the team. I know we need a TE, but with all of the receiving options we've added, there probably aren't as many balls to go around anyway. I am thinking if Gesicki is available in the third, he could be THAT pick.

I'll just focus on pick 42 for now. Darius Leonard.

Leonard would be a decent pick. Mayock has him as the highest graded LB left. I think TE or DT will also be considered heavily.

I cant believe Josh jackson is still available. Theres no better cornerback in the draft IMO. I didnt follow his combine or pro day, but the guy is a playmaker and IMO the best CB in the draft.

Need a TE more, as I think we won't be in a base defense very often.

I see Miami’s primary needs now as nickel range at lb, tight end, and qb.

I’d be trying to trade back from 42 conscious of the tight end run coming today.

Targets luke Falk, Darius Leonard, mark andrews. Leonard 2018 nickel 2019 possible starting weak.

In terms of best value James Daniels but I don’t think Miami’s looking for a center. Goedert is a wildcard at 42

I really want Leonard and Andrews today but I want them in the 55 to 65 range.
