http://threeyardspercarry.podbean.com Here's a new Dolphins centric podcast from three members of the Club Level, which I hope you find interesting and informative. Available on iTunes and Podbean and your usual podcast providers.
Some interesting stuff for sure! Thanks for that guys! A few thoughts from me. While I agree, you can never have too many good influences, why would anyone think Parker would listen to Amendola if he doesn't listen to Stills? You guys make great point about Minkah and Derwin. Why aren't they the obvious to us currently? We legit do not have a FS on this team. Unless they really think Aikens is going to step into that role. I just don't see it. We are getting enamored with QBs and LBs. But if you have two players like Minkah and Derwin and one of them falls to your lap, you have to take one right? My only thing with Derwin is, is he a much better single high cover guy than people give him credit for? Absolutely. But he does so much good around the line of scrimmage, with Jones and McDonald, would we be able to use him to maximize his impact?
This is about being individually a better player on and off the field. DA winning a super bowl isn't going to change the fact that Parker just doesn't want it bad enough.
Maybe DA see's things or explains things in a different way to Stills that resonates with Parker in a more effective way. Not all of us learn or take advice in the same way so having different points of views can always help.
What Parker needs is a sports psychologist. He has depression issues ever since his ex cheated on him and dumped him. That and his injury issues is what has been keeping him back.
Great podcast! I can’t wait for the next one! The instagram stuff was really interesting to me, since I am not into that...
He needs some new kitty. Not a sports psych. You didn't lose your girlfriend, you just lost your turn brah. You are a millionaire pro football player. There will be another along in 3...2...1
Once camp starts, if Stills, Amendola, Wilson, and Grant are all playing and all healthy...If DVP doesn't assert himself as a #1 WR (become that alpha dog) we should move on from him. That's part of the culture we are hearing about. Under achievers (and hes is a HUGE underachiever) hurt us more than they help. Get a fourth and seventh and move on.
It was fantastic! Very much looking forward to more of these. I appreciate the time and effort that was put into it.
It was an extremely enjoyable podcast. You three, besides having great football knowledge, have great chemistry. Thanks for putting this together. Between your podcast and @Aqua4Ever04's I won't have to search around for any Dolphin's info.
I cant explain to you guys just how bad you have to be to be a bust wide receiver in the basketball on grass era. The DB’s arent allowed to do anything to them anymore. So i dont know what to say about Parker other than he has a future in the XFL if he doesnt have a contract season this year.
I’ve been following you three around various Phins boards for like 10+ years it seems. Pay just to read your stuff here. The podcast announcement was like Christmas morning. Thanks so much for putting this together.
Nice job again. My thoughts...I agree completely with Simon on this one with Josh Allen. Forget his completion percentage. Two things that I hate about his game that doesn't equal great success. Lack of ability to throw the ball with touch(which leads to those balls sailing that Simon mentioned) and lack of anticipating the windows. Chris mentioned, the lack of windows created by the wideouts. Well Allens inability to see the window before it came open lead to the lack of real windows. Window open. Window gone. By time it leaves Allens hand, window has closed or began to. Lack of anticipation and a big arm against Allens competition equals balls batted, contested completions and incompletions. Throwing the ball late in the NFL equals turnovers. Just my opinion.
I must say, I expected you to be far more animated and smug in voice form. I don't know if I like knowing what you actually sound like. At least I heard ck on NFLN before. Some mysteries are better left unsolved.
LOL. It wasn't even the first time he threw with touch on that video or outing. But yeah, tell me again what ABILITY he lacks (but somehow still shows even though he doesn't have the ABILITY).
Okay. You're taking what I said too literal. Of course he can do it. Its like when someone says a QB is inaccurate. No, they are just inconsistent. I can cue on a video of "inaccurate" QBs putting the ball on the money. Doesn't mean they are accurate passers. At the end of the day, only thing going to tell about Allen is what he does in the NFL. We will see...
You mean a second year college starter with all world talent is still actively adding pieces to his game and getting better? SHOCKER
.... and just Allen's second year in a pro style system..... with one of the nation's worst ground game's at his back...... a wretched offensive line allowing him to be pressured 40% of the time as you mentioned...... and a pair of inexperienced first-year-starting sophomores as his top 2 WR and an inexperienced first-year-starting TE as his #3 target who just converted from QB...... trying to operate a rhythm/timing based passing offense with them. For Allen to maintain the same completion% as the year prior despite the offense turning to dogs**t around him, one might describe that as improvement.
Shocking that any player coming out of college is can add pieces to their game? Holy cow! No WAY! You mean he can get better?!?!? No **** lol.
