Can't wait to see the contract breakdowns for Amendola/Wilson.

I'm assuming some of the panic will lessen.

Ebron drops the big ones. He catches a lot of balls, but his drops always seem to happen on an important play.

Still, he's worth it for the right price.

Remember to read the contract details.

Only $9 million is guaranteed. The team isn't on the hook for a major signing bonus and the highest they pay him $5.5 million) comes in year 1. The Bears could cut the kid after year 2 and not even blink.

Eric Ebron at the very least is a lot more athletic than Thomas ever was.

He thought the play was over. That's not giving up.

I would kick the tires on these two : DOMINIQUE EASLEY BENNIE LOGAN. I'm just not a fan of ebron and i question if he can be a reliable receiving threat.

Come on FIN. He half-assed the protection scheme on that play and once he got beat he just turned it off. You know as well as anyone you keep your head in the game. Had he not given up there things could have changed. What if the RB dropped the ball and he wasn't paying attention the other team gets it and wins the game?

What if he was paying attention and was able to block someone and the RB was able to get a crucial first down? Not saying he's a waste but his head wasn't in the game and we need players here who follow through.

Granted this was just one play but if it's indicative of his commitment no thanks.

    Gah.

You are combining two things together.

Two things happened in regards to him on that play.

    1. He was beat like a drum.
    2. He thought the play was over and stopped.

He screwed up twice and can and should be dinged for getting beat and not playing to the whistle. However, neither of those things means he gave up. Watch it again, when he turns around he is literally startled the play is still going on.

Wow. Just Wow. The highest-paid offensive tackle in football is now Nate Solder, a 29-year-old who has never been to the Pro Bowl. Solder was a steady but wholly unspectacular presence on Tom Brady's blindside, and his record four-year, $62-million contract from the Giants raised some eyebrows. Players such as Taylor Lewan of the Titans and Jake Matthews of the Falcons are going to break the bank when they hit the market next offseason. And it wouldn't be shocking to see elite tackles like Tyron Smith and Trent Williams hold out for more money, as their once-monstrous deals suddenly look miniature.

Jets acquired No. 3 overall pick from Colts for No. 6 overall pick, 37th overall pick, 49th overall pick and our 2019 2nd round pick.

Historically #3 overall has been a relatively bad place to draft. #4 and #5 since the merger have given better value than the #3 slot.

Is #3 skewed because we drafted Jordan at #3? We screwed the pooch pretty bad on that one.

On a side note: I hope the Jets continue that trend. J...E...T...S..., suck! suck! suck!

I did my data dive 2 or 3 years before DJ. There have beem a lot of very successful #3s, and it still produces better than #6 or lower. I think #3 is where the desperation and gamble factor really kicks in.
