Very entertaining fight...both guys should be proud. Wasn't Gotti Ward by any stretch but I thought came close to the hype.

I tried ordering the fight before it began, all that is required to order a PPV is press OK four times on my television and it was unsuccessful...

by luck I was able to find a hidden link on my directtv account online that allowed me to use my credit card to purchase the fight... you'd think they would blow that up front page but nope...

Anyways it was a very entertaining fight, but Mayweather took him to boxing school, period. The stats show it, the finish showed it.

I also don't think it's a good idea for your conditioning to go from 153 to 170 overnight. Mayweather trained, weighed in and fought at 149... McGregor trained at mid 160, weighed in at 153, and fought the very next day at 170.. That **** could fly in UFC, but not in boxing. Mayweather at 41 years old was in far better physical condition than McGregor at 29...

By the way for all that power McGregor supposebly has, Mayweather doesn't have a scratch or bruise on him.. not even a bump..

That's because it is damn near impossible to land a power shot clean on Mayweather.

I thought Mayweather would have looked better against Conor and that's not a knock on either fighter. Conor, looked legit and Mayweather, for the first time in his career, actually did a lot more than play defense.

    It was an enjoyable fight.

Much better fight than anticipated. You could see by Rd 5 that CM was slowing down and it was only a matter of time.

Would have been interesting if CM had a handful of fights under his belt before fighting Mayweather... He may have been more acclimated to going 12 rounds.

I was surprised that he was able to hit Floyd as often as he did. He looked like he was pacing himself too much and not putting much power behind his punches. If he had not of gassed I think it would have been a close decision for Mayweather. I do think the stoppage was a little premature, too.

This was a fun fight, but it was over after the 4th round (before the fight ever began, in reality). Conor was breathing through his mouth at the end of round 3. Visibly exhausted by the end of round 6. By the end, he didn't have the energy to keep his hands up. Smart move for the ref to stop the fight, Conor looked out on his feet.

Floyd on the hand looked like the ****ing Terminator. Absolute machine, and just kept walking forward. The showtime analysts were ridiculous, complaining that Floyd wasn't cutting the ring off, not realizing that Conor could never gain balance and was just tiring himself out.

  15. Now that I seen the fight, I agree they stopped it too soon. I dont think he would of went the distance but he should of been given the chance. It was a much better fight than I anticipated. IMO the two biggest issues for McGregor was his punhing techniquic lacked power. He was landing clean shots but they did no damage to Mayweather. I dont think I saw his head snap after a hit even once. He found holes but didnt punish Mayweather like he should of, And of course his stamina was the other issue. He just lost his gas around rd7. Those two factors cost him the fight.

Mayweather looked like himself out there. Maybe a little lazy in the early rounds but I think that was more his stragedy than it was laziness. He may be the greatest of all time. He is most definetly in the conversation.

Lol Floyd caught Conor from being knocked down like three times, not to mention the rope saved Conor atleast four times from a knock down... and in round 10 when Floyd was T'ing off him, Conor hadnt swung a single punch for a whole minute. The ref did good by stopping the fight, he saved Conor's reputation, he can now say he was never hurt or knocked down even though he was definitely hurt, and anyone who watches boxing knows he was 10 seconds away from getting medical attention.

Before the fight began i swear there was a moment where i thought i cant believe this fight is actually going to happen lol

By the way Miguel Cotto fought last night on HBO. That fight was scheduled way before mayweather and mcgregor agreed to the fight. It you want to know how the ratings looked like for that fight, all you have to see is Oscar De La Hoya's last tweet.

There were informercials that had higher ratings

Yeah it felt surreal. It felt weird seeing Conor in there. Big size difference. That was awesome that we got to see Floyd go offensive at the end. I wish Conor was in better shape. Dude was so tired he couldn't even protect himself.

Conor, come home to the UFC where you belong.

Highly doubt he is going to the UFC for anything less than 30 million a fight after lastnight. I think floyd's prediction of conor retiring has some truth in it. Conor said it yesterday, he wants more money. Conor will threaten to retire until his deal gets renegotiated, he sees what Floyd got from Showtime and now he wants to get paid right.

You must have watched a different fight from me. Up until the 10th, when exhaustion almost took him down, Conor was never in any danger of being hurt. Lol

Its because McGregor doesn't turn his punches over. In the UFC with 4 ounces gloves its not needed. But if you dont turn over your punches in boxing there is nothing behind it.

This is true, but Conor was worried more about not gassing and landing than he was about power.

Conor is the UFC now especially with what's happening with Jon Jones. The UFC is going to have to pony up and I'm sure they will.

No one is as marketable as Conor in the UFC.

Wouldn't be surprised if Mayweather is part of McGregor's next UFC camp, or at least in attendance.

I wonder if this boxing experience makes McGregor a better or worse UFC fighter? The boxing experience could be a detriment to Connor's winning UFC ways. He's more experienced as a stand up but may now put too much emphasis on it. Just thinking out loud.

If it'll teach him to stop blocking strikes with his face then he can get even better. He should have learned a lot about angles and defense that he can take back to UFC.

Rumors are Conor may do 1 or 2 more fights in UFC and then retire. One of them guaranteed to Nate Diaz, and then he will wait on UFC to build up Kevin Lee more to fight him.

He has told people he already made over 130 million on Saturday (6.5 million payperview buys is the latest estimate), and has said he doesnt need anymore money he is set for life, and said he would have to really **** things up to blow that money.

He had a friend that died in the octagon and has that on the back of his mind.

Why kevin Lee over tony ferguson or khabib? Kevin Lee is trash compared to them. Maybe Conor is pissed about all the **** Kevin's been talking. Dude even brought up his baby.

In the last month and a half, lots of trash talk going back and forth on social media between Floyd and Connor....

Today Floyd sends a short video out of him confidently walking into an Octagon. Can’t help but feel like we will eventually see a Floyd vs Connor MMA fight this summer. Connor has been dodging questions about fighting Khabib/Tony and doesn’t seem interested in that at all anyways and he knows he has to make a fight with the UFC soon, he says he will fight in September and Dana White said that’s too long and will even be stripped soon but I don’t think he cares because of the bag of money that’s coming in the summer if he waits for this Floyd thing to play out which is why I think he is saying September anyways. This all seems like Early Promo Work for it.

Next month the interim middleweight fight between Rockhold and Romero is set.

There is no way Floyd enters the octagon. If he does it will be either fixed so he doesn't get smashed or it will be labeled an exhibition.

I’m thinking exhibition in the summer between him and McGregor... and he probably will get smashed... I think his confidence is high with how he packed Connor away in the boxing match.

Rockhold and Romero is gonna be good. So is Khabib and Tony and my favorite one coming is Stipe vs Cormier.

Joanna vs Namajunas Part 2 will be good as well

And Connor has fired back @ the video of Floyd in the octagon by saying “**** the Mayweathers”

    This fights gonna happen.

An MMA bout between Conor and Floyd would be huge. Bigger than the super bowl. I really hope this happens. If Conor can jump in the ring with Floyd then Floyd can jump in the octagon. I think the MMA community might actually like it where the boxing community **** on the whole Conor Floyd boxing event.

I also want to see Conor vs Ferguson and Conor vs Nate part iii but I think we may have to wait on that.

Stipe vs Cornier? Now we’re just getting spoiled. Don’t know who to root for I love both of these fighters.

Absolutely agree, once Mayweather sets one foot in the Octagon for a real fight, it will send UFC/MMA through the roof (it’s been getting bigger and bigger on its own the past 4/5 years).

I would love to see Khabib vs Connor but I actually think Connor is a little scared of that one as Khabibs style is the perfect formula to really wreck Connor. Connor vs Nate is one that any UFC/MMA Fan will love because we all know that we will probably see a brutal fight that we all love. Lol

Stipe vs Cormier is absolutely awesome for UFC 226. Talk about true capitalization and a Super Fight that Cormier and Stipe both indeed earned and good one to cap off Cormier career (I hear he is retiring this year before he turns 40). I love both fighters and it would be hard for me to choose, I guess I would have to go with Stipe, so he would be set up nicely for a fight with Cain Velasquez or even possibly, dare I say, Brock Lesnar.
