Great effort by the Heat. They should have been blown out. They started a guy cut by the Suns a few weeks ago, and played a guy who should be in the G League in Walton Jr., but still almost knocked off a good team on the road. Not having a PG hurt as there were too many sloppy turnovers, and Paul was great with big plays on both ends.

Damn Rocketboy that was fast. That’s an incredibly boring team to watch despite having Harden and CP3. We both played a sloppy game. Ariza blows. Whiteside is still a talented moron. Do you know that guy Jones Jr that was filling in for our best player? Yeah, we don’t either.

That’s also the last game I watch on NBATV. All around terrible channel.

2 our of 3 vs rockets ain’t bad. That equates to heat in 6. Impossible we’d meet in the finals, the CP3 curse is real.

I like kevin love but i dont think thats a trade that changes anything for the better on either side.

We lose chemistry, the cavs lose spacing. We will then have to depend on a rookie to give us everything whiteside provides defensively..

Maybe I'm naive but I'm really high on Adebayo. I feel like Whiteside should be dealt soon as he has levelled off and probably won't develop much further. Give me Bam and Olynyk front court, they both seem to play with a much higher motor. Whiteside played better when he had something to prove still.

I missed it, but apparently the Wizards locker room is toxic right now. I wonder what it would take to free up Beal. Maybe Waiters + Winslow? If Waiters were healthy I'd see if it were doable.

Stephen A. Smith was yelling about the Cavs should trade Kevin Love basically because he’s white and the team is struggling. LMAO This is when you start thinking “yea... the NBA still has awhile till they catch the NFL”

  27. CaribPhin

    CaribPhin Guest

In what respect? The NBA is by far the better run organization with the greater future prospects and fan demographics that more closely mirror the overall makeup of the US. Players also make more, have fully guaranteed deals, and the owners aren't on a perpetual hunt to fleece the public (some are).

The only reason I'm on this forum at this point is to talk basketball.

I love the NBA too. However, there is a few problems with it. For one, we are about to see GSW vs CLE more then likely for the third year straight. No parity at all. Super Team era kind of sucks if your not a fan of CLE or GSW. Secondly, there is a **** ton more prima donna’s in the NBA than there is in the NFL despite having waaay less players. Lastly, the flopping. Good god the flopping man. Pinky touches are mistaken as gun shot wounds. Nothing like this at all in the NFL.

In regards to the isolated incident happening in CLE right now, Stephen A. basically admitted that Cleveland is frustrated as a team right now and they are taking it out on Love because he is white. Stephen A. went on to back up Love and say he needs to get outta there because, and I quote, “being around a bunch of angry brothers can’t be good for him”..... that’s a problem.

I say all this as a proud Sixer (We will be welcoming LeBron with open arms next year) and Heat fan.

And I’m not quite sure what you mean by demographic? The NBA has a lot more overseas players than the NFL. The NFL has Ajayi.... and the rest of the players are from America, they may have 2-5 total overseas players in the NFL. Maybe I didn’t understand what you meant though. My Sixers alone pack almost more overseas players on one team than the whole NFL combined. (Embiid, Simmons, Saric, Luawau-Cabbarot)

Here's a list of potentially available stars this off-season, the likelihood of their availablity, and the reason why I think they might be available:

Bradley Beal - 45% - The Wizards' players hate each other.

Demarcus Cousins - 70% - He's a FA, will want to be paid, and will want to win.

Kawhi Leonard - 0.01% - He's mad at the Spurs, but come on. The offer would have to be amazing.

Damian Lillard - 20% - Lillard approached ownership and asked them to figure out how to win. He'd have to ask to be moved/a great offer would need to be on the table.

    C. J. McCollum - 30% - A team may be able to get McCollum if they can put together a package that convinces Portland they'll win more given the Lillard meeting. This is 0% if Lillard really likes CJ.

Kevin Love - 80% - I see no way forward for the Cavs and I believe Love is tired of the team. Unless it's LBJ accusing him of faking illness, then it had to be some scrub *** player. Either way, with LeBron likely leaving a sinking ship, the Cavs will want to build for the future and Love won't want to be there for it.

Giannis Antetokounmpo - 0.01% - The Bucks suck and Giannis tried to intercede on behalf of Kidd. Either way, they're not going to let him leave until he's in control of his destiny.

If you can think of anyone else, let me know and I'll add em to the list.

As opposed to the Patriots out of the AFC every season? Parity in the NFL is a myth and it always has been. The NBA could become more equal by doing away with the salary cap though.

    http://ramblingeveron.com/2017/11/29/the-nfl-and-the-myth-of-parity-the-nfl-on-reo/

Well, first of all, Riley Cooper got a vote of confidence after calling a security guard a ******. Jerry Richardson got a vote of confidence from the team while being racist and sexist. A large segment of the NFL's fans and ownership wanted to punish players for protesting race-based violence. The NFL serially lets abusers off the hook. You're going to tell me the NBA has problems because Stephen A. Smith, barely a journalist, pulled some BS out of his *** to drive ratings? You're saying admitted as if he was even there. I hope you were up in arms over Tomlin missing out on a job because he was too "hip-hop". Do you really think white NBA players are afraid of black players or something? Like, I'm struggling to grasp the point you're trying to make.

I'm saying the NBA is built to last because its fan base is representative of national demographics. The NBA appeals to the fastest growing demos in ways the NFL doesn't and might not even want to.

Riley lost his career. Jerry lost his team.

And I hate racism on any level. Period.

NFL has way more parity lol it’s a joke to say otherwise, we aren’t about to see the same two teams in the SB, 3 years running. Last time Eagles made it was 2004 (14 years ago) in case you didn’t know.

Colin Kaepernick belongs in the NFL and there is a major problem here because of the misperception around his name. Nobody and I mean nobody at all, has helped more With social work than him. And that’s a crime. Guy is easily better than a lot of QBs I see in the NFL and they won’t let him play because they are partially racist.

Cavs trying to make a move for George Hill. It's getting a little sad honestly; their strategy of acquiring bodies regardless of fit just to give the appearance of trying I mean. They lack defense and desperately need more shooting ability, especially with LeBron/Love off the floor.
